An easy way of slimming down those aerial pieces is just wrapping a small bit of cardboard around the ball end, Chucking it in the drill and spinning it on something lightly abrasive, You get a nice even finish

I love how your mind works. I've used that exact same piece to do the exact same fix. I'm constantly using Lego as customizing / fixing materials. I recently used a clear dark blue antenna to go up into a Spy Magician's clear leg.
You should look into getting a pin vise for drilling these small holes. Its a drill handle that you rotate by hand. Just seat the rear of it in your palm and turn the barrel with your thumb and middle finger. You get such fine control. Most people who assemble gaming miniatures use them to drill and pin parts together.

Toy Polloi Oh I absolutely understand and commend you for it! I just recommended it because this was one was such a delicate looking repair and I know sometimes these older plastics can be quite brittle. Just as a heads up if you look for one...make sure to get one that has a swivel head on the top. That way it spins easily when seated in your palm. Some have a different size collet on each end for different size bits. These can be uncomfortable to use when spinning in your palm. The ones with the swivel have a reversible collet on the front end to still give you size variety, but also be comfortable. Thanks for the great videos!
Nice video as usual! I have a pin vice that works well for drilling out fiddly small areas. You could put the antenna in the electric drill head (chuck) with the ball out and spin it against a file or some sandpaper to narrow the rod or take some mass off the ball.
Have you ever done molds and just made replacement parts? Color matching would be more spot on I'd think. I do appreciate your ingenuity for sure using one thing for another but sometimes repairs aren't always hidden. This was cool as hell for sure.
I remember Micronauts as a really young child. I remember them on sale at the Village Hardware Store down from where my late Grandparents used to live. They were very cheap. About £1.00 or 50p. My Grandfather didn’t think so- that being said, however, I feel that he thought that they were silly looking things and there was no way he was going to buy me one not when I could be playing something like Cricket! Actually my Grandparents despised mini figures in general and it was a nightmare for them when I took to collecting Star Wars with a passion. They really hated me playing with them! I’m surprised that my Grandmother actually bought me a Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Pilot and Death Star Droid?? I must have done something good or it was a moment when she thought oh well. But other than that they were all for education and bookish and thought that these toys inhibited the intellectual growth? The ironic thing was, they didn’t mind my cousin being bought them though and that was because he was Smart and a Genius! So he got rather spoilt, not that he ever truly appreciated it. But I’ll not be bitter. It is interesting that when the Black Hole came out and the Figures Followed, I had something of a flashback to the Micronauts Figures and then it passed out of my thoughts. So in the end, I had the decedents of the Micronauts Figures in the re-used features in the Black Hole Figures. The irony of child and adulthood?
The Time Traveller legs (in fact the ENTIRE figure) dismantle. Personally, I would have done the precision operation with a hobby vice instead of the highly articulated wobbly man

If you had the original ankle is it possible to glue... I seem to remember trying this but it did not adhere. Is there a glue that would work if you had the other half of the limb?
what would you suggest for an acrocroyear arm that broke just after the shoulder of the arm. I used hot glue as a temporary fix but there has to be a better way to fix.... should I attempt modeling glue?

I'm really surprised the ankles didn't shatter drilling into them like that. Well done.
You just need to drill slowly with a sharp drill bit.
They're made of ABS, the same as LEGO parts, so that's not going to happen.

Great fix, next time put the Lego lance into the drill and spin it like a lathe then file it to size.

No, it's just too weak. You need to make a new one so there is more surface area to glue, and a hole to give extra support.
