I love Amanda...yes, i know, she's evil, a diabolical genius, a mass murderer...yet i find her fascinating, and captivating...and very elegant and beautiful...a. Woman with a horrid childhood that turned her into what she became...i kept thinking, she should be the so called villian in a james bond movie....because she outdoes even blofeld or lex luther...Amanda is waayy over the top....but i feel for her.what a great actress this lovely sexy lady is....and her melodic beautiful voice...brilliant.
It sucks to think of this beautiful, gut-wrenching scene as opposed to what they did to the Nikita/Amanda relationship (and Amanda's character) in Season 3. After we saw this episode, we realized these two women had such a twisted and complex relationship, they both love and hate each other, each feels betrayed by the other... it was brilliant. Then in S3, my god, Amanda turned into a caricature. A psycho stalker obsessed with Nikita and ruining her life. WHY, writers?
Auri explains it quite well in Season 3 actually. She took Nikita’s mercy as an unforgivable insult when she lets her live. But then Amanda does let Nikita live at the start of this episode when she has her dead to rights.
That was brilliantly said. It would have been easy to just write a mindless action show with cardboard characters and bullets flying around, but the Nikita writers created such a great cast of compelling characters. They're complex and human, we relate to them and care about their relationships with each other. Even the villains like Amanda have depth. This show is really fantastic and I'm SO GLAD it got a third season despite the low ratings.
FOX actually is the station that doesn't deserve Nikita. They took off both The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse, both were great shows, and still kept The Simpsons and Glee.
-Amanda helped mold and shape her into the assassin she is now. If it weren't for her she'd still have a brute attitude and possibly be dead. -Amanda is not all bad like most people think. Nikita had choices she chose to kill for them the only reason she stopped was because Owen unbeknownst to her killed her fiance Daniel Monroe. Otherwise she would have continued or ran away with him. -She's just like Percy only with half the brain cause Percy was the brains of the operations.
This scene is iconic
Best show ever
Their relationship is very complex and interesting, I loved it

Love this scene so much. Can't believe this hit a series low, I expected it to get higher. So underrated.
This is the darkest moment in TV history the best show ever

Nikita and Alex are my favorite characters!!

i LOVE AMANDA! ..she absolutely makes this show...no offense, but the other females are girls...Amanda is a WOMAN...
Do you think Nikita was being genuine here?Or just playing on Amanda’s emotions?
Nikita had numerous chances to kill amanda but couldn’t. I think she’s being pretty genuine here
They both love each other in a fucked up way b/c yes Amanda did treat Nikita like a mother when Nikita was still operating for Division.
