This channel is quickly becoming my favorite channel. Love the craftsmanship, and your stream of consciousness style of narration. The perfect accompaniment to a morning cup of coffee. Well done!

Thanks Mr. Bell! Billie is actually a female, though she really doesn't act like a girly dog. MK

Great video Michael. Love the craftsmanship and passion you have for it. Great way to spend part of my Sunday morning. Cheers from GH!
Thanks Brett! Hope you're staying warm. I'm getting ready for a motorcycle ride with my wife.
We love Florida! I sure wish I was up there to get a EBA Fric's Pizza though!!! MK
Looks beautiful Michael! Wear in good health. Regards, John
Thanks John!!! MK
Great looking straps, will get at least one this year. Great channel and doing my best to show everyone what they are missing by not watching your channel.
I don’t watch tv but do love watch channel’s, keep up the great videos and craftsmanship.
Watching from wales 🏴 Uk 👌🏻👍🏻🏴
Thank you so much Andrew! That’s very kind of you. Take care, MK
Looks fantastic Michael!
Thanks Pat!
You need to break down and re-expand your scope of leatherwork and make a black alligator belt with the tourquois stitching to match that watch. Additional belts in various colors with tourquois stitching to coordinate with your work shirts can be for other watches. Something to think about. Happy Valentine's Day! Great vid. Keep at it!
Thanks Mark! MK
Wow.... This is..... Amazing. Lovely strap
Thank you! MK
Great show. Love the colors. That Rolex is really nice. Every time I see that watch I like it more. Keep it up.
Thanks Jim! MK

G'day M.K. thanks for sharing, beautiful work, a great inspiration..

Cheers mate.. thanks again.
Thanks Mate! Keep plugging away. The more you do the better you'll get! MK
As usual.... Quality!!!!! 🔥
Thank you Peter! MK
Nice video mate
Thanks Tim! MK
When I first saw you I thought, who are you and what have you done with Michael..lol I'm starting to do exotic inlays for various products, and ordered the Giardini that you recommended. I was wondering if you could do a short tutorial on the edges? I've seen all kinds of videos on it, but never a start to finish. The biggest mystery to me is the burning of the edges..good to see you again brother...
Hey Brother! Sure, I can do that. Can’t say exactly when, but will try to do it soon. When you’re saying about “burning the edges,” are you asking about my Regad Machine, or simply putting flame to them? MK
@@StrapaWatch Regad..didn't know the name of it...lol I thought it was called a burny, edgy, thingy....
They’re pretty pricey, even the tips of well over $100.00. I don’t really use it on that many straps, just unlined and those who don’t want any edge paint or finishing. You can do what most American leather workers do, and that’s heat up a creaser tip with a burner. It’s very common in Europe for fine leather crafting. The benefit of the Regad is the control of the heat. I’d suggest doing some research on them and other similar machines. I saw that they had some for sale at Rocky Mountain Leather. www.rmleathersupply.com/collections/view-all-tools/products/electric-edging-tool
@@StrapaWatch thanks brother...later
Hey Michael,
Fantastic work and nice result. I wonder about one thing that doesn't really show in the video. When you remove that steel sheeting covering the area between the watch and the bracelet, don't you see a "pocket" up under the bezel?
And isn't it a problem that the spring bars (pins) are setting so close to the bezel?
All the best, Thomas
Thanks Thomas, Yes, and is why I always recommend Curved Spring Bar Lug Pins when ordering a strap for all modern Rolex watches. MK
@@StrapaWatch Thanks a lot. Can you order them curved or do you bend them yourself?
❤
Thanks for the love! MK
Wow, that is absolutely incredible. I loved the brown but to be honest the watch absolutely pops on that strap. Wear it well !!! I have tried straps time and time again but with little success as I am a bracelet guy. I am going to have to place an order for my date sub, milgauss or sea dweller and give it another try. Stay well and thank you for sharing :0)
Thanks Al! I’d suggest starting with the Milgauss. Which dial do you have? And always please remember that I offer a 100% 30-Day money back guarantee. MK
@@StrapaWatch I didn't realize that you had a guarantee, like you I have the Z Blue. I will reach out on your website. Thanks again.
Beautiful strap for your blue OP. Great work.
I notice you wear your watches on your right wrist but you don't appear to be left handed. Is it just a personal preference? 😁
Thanks WD C! I’ve shared about this on a few of my shows. My left arm has been broken 4 times. I have two metal plates at the exact place where I would be wearing a watch. It’s very painful after about an hour to have a watch on my left wrist. My right wrist has been broken only twice, and no plates. I used to be pretty hard on my body when I was a younger man. I was an avid skydiver, wrestler, skateboarder, skier, motorcycle racer, and a lot of other fun but dangerous stuff. I used to be addicted to speed. The faster the better, especially on motorcycles. I still ride, but I’m pretty safe today... MK
@@StrapaWatch Michael: Sorry to make you explain it again but thanks. There for a minute, I thought being a audiologist was a pretty dangerous occupation. 😁
Are you left handed ? I’m right handed but I wear my watch on my wrist. P.S. I love the look of new OP with leather strap. Cheers
Hi Barrington! No, I’m right handed. My left forearm, where I wear a watch, has been broken four times. I’ve had two surgeries on it and the scar is very sensitive. I’ve shared about this on a few of my shows, and you can see the scar at times when I’m wearing a short sleeve shirt on some of my shows. So, I have to wear my watches on my right wrist. I used to race motorcycles, played a lot of hockey, wrestled in school, and was an avid skydiver for years, which in all cases had led to multiple bone fractures. My right arm was only broken twice with no major operations. The one big problem with my right forearm and hand is I have lost all feeling. During one of my motorcycle accidents, my right arm had a compound fracture. Where the bone came out it had severed the main sensory nerve. Today I have a nice quiet boring life, but My wife and I still ride motorcycles. Thanks for asking! MK
Were you able to get that at your A.D. or did you have to get it after market? That Tiffany blue dial is becoming on unobtainium.
I ordered it from my AD the morning it launched on Sept. 1st last year, and got the call from them on December 23rd. MK
@@StrapaWatch That’s awesome… They won’t even let you order the OP’s now… I’m on the waitlist for one...of course I just want the black dial so AD doesn’t think it will be too long...ordered a Datejust for my dad for his 75th birthday. Ad is quite optimistic it will come in before his birthday, so I will keep my fingers crossed
For a formal watch will a shell cordvan strap better choice? Or I should go for alligator strap. Please advice
Either will work well. It all depends on what accompanying attire you're going to wear. Thanks Muhammad! MK
@Strap a Watch Nice strap! Do you recommend curved lug end strap for Rolex watches? And how did you remove the bracelet from the rolex?
I recommend curved spring bars for modern Rolex watches, but not vintage. It all depends on the watch. If you haven’t removed a watch bracelet, I would highly recommend you have it done by a jeweler.
@@StrapaWatch Thanks for your reply. By the way, where can I purchase buckle with Rolex crown?
You can just shop for them online. Etsy and eBay typically have them listed… MK
Nike Tiffany SB dunk vibes
Thanks Albert! MK
Any suggestions on where to buy templates for cutting the straps?
Hi Bunny Lou! Not anymore... The guy that made most of mine had stopped making them about a year ago. I would check Etsy. Thanks, MK
Hi Michael, beautiful strap and watch! I’m having issues with edge paint, cracking and peeling off. I’ve only just started using it as I want to make some gator straps. I’ve only make straps from shell or veg before. Ordinarily I would just burnish the edge with tokonole, or stain the edge and then burnish. I’ve never really been a fan of the rubbery edge that edge paint gives, but obviously I can’t burnish gator or ostrich!
Have you experienced peeling before? Any ideas?
Thanks :)
Hey Sam, Thanks for contacting me! The real answer is unequivocally Yes. To date I’ve only had one strap sent back to me to have the edges redone, but I have had a few more customers contact me stating that the edge finishing is beginning to wear off. I’m seriously contemplating doing away with them. I’m currently offering a Gloss or Matte Finish over the edge paint. That’s been my issue, not so much the edge paint. I’ve never had any issues with Black or Brown Edge Coat, which I burnish with Ron’s Edge Rub with my finger. That works great with alligator. What I’m honestly doing right now with Edge Paint is not burnishing it. I apply two to three coats and it works pretty well. It is a little gummy feeling at first, but after I apply some conditioner over it, then it really feels nice and slick. Hope this helps??? MK
@@StrapaWatch Thanks ever so much Michael, I’ll give it a try and see what I can come up with! Thank you for your response. All the best!
