Biryani Gravy/Shorba/Sherva is quick, easy yet finger licking and flavoursome one pot gravy dish. I really enjoy good Biryani gravy or Salan along with Biryani compared to plain curd raita served. This dish is simple and not overpowered with whole lot of spices so if you are looking for easy but flavourful gravy then this recipe is a keeper...Its best served with Biryani or Pulao...
Veg stock or Chicken stock add lot of flavour to the shorba so do not skip it. Do try and let me know how it goes!!!
Ingredients
1) 2tbsp Peanuts
2) 1tbsp Sesame seeds
3) 1tbsp Poppy seeds
4) 2-3 Green Cardamom
5) 4-5 Cloves, small piece of stone flower
6) 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
7) 1/2 inch Ginger, 6-7 Garlic and 2-3 green chili Crushed
8) 1 small Onion cubed
9) 1 medium sliced Onion
10) 1 Big Tomato finely chopped
11) 1/4cup Dry Coconut
12) 1-2tsp Red chili powder
13) 1tsp Coriander powder
14) Salt to taste
15) 1/2tsp Garam masala
16) 2-3 Cup Stock
17) 3tbsp Oil
18) Handful coriander leaves
note:
* Spices can be increased depending on preference.
