Dale anytime I see you play a game that you have multiple videos on, I know it's going to be a good game 😂. The turn base in this game is interesting to say the least.
Great game. I am not a fan of Legacy versions of games so I don't mind spoilers but this set looks cool. My only question is once you have played it once, can it played again exactly the same or is it a one go thing?

Hi, Great video! I have one question - is it possible to get scan of "Setup sheet" (I lost mine :) ). Thank you =)
@Ales Dugon Set-up is the same for this as the base games, which depends on your breach mage. For the Turn Order Deck, it is always 2 nemesis cards. For 1 player, 4 turn order cards. 2 players get 2 each. 3 players, 1 each plus a wild. And 4 players, 1 each. Hope that helps, and happy gaming! :)

@@DaletheCasualGamer Thank you for you reply =) This is my first deck building game. I bought it few months ago and still did not have time to play. Finally found time, but lost Setup sheet :D
I've been trying to get more into deck building games since the wife and I started playing Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle, and Aeons End has been one of the most suggested games for me to look into. Honestly, kinda disappointed. Fantastic video as always Dale, still hoping you get the publicity boost in the near future and your channel gets the respect it deserves!
Thanks for the kind words! Harry Potter is a great cooperative deck-builder! Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the movies (although I did like them), the game really played well and really played up the cooperative part more than most deck-builders I've played. As for Aeons End, I've really enjoyed the base games, so maybe that would work better since you have more choice in your cards and can choose easier or harder nemesis depending on your play level. The Legacy game definitely starts off very easy ... so good to teaching basics, but too easy for people used to deck builders. I believe Harry Potter was similar, and even mentioned it in the rules that the first scenarios were for "training" and you could just start at 3 or 4. But since this version of Aeons End is Legacy, there's no skipping forward. Maybe give the regular base games a chance. This game has been well received in my play group, and the random player turn really makes a difference in coop games, so things can't just be "planned" out. Thanks again for watching and happy gaming with your wife!!
Chapter 1 of the Legacy game is the most boring game of Aeon's End possible, since it gets rid of all the unique mage abilities and the starting supply is designed to have simple effects that aren't as powerful as what gets unlocked later. In addition, with only a single mage you miss the opportunity for some of the most interesting cooperative effects, since cards like Ethereal Hand can normally not be used to benefit the player that played the card. (Cards that specify an "ally" can only target the mage that played it when you're doing single-mage solo.) Aeon's End Legacy is the only Legacy game I've played through more than once (four player and solo) and I still want to play it again sometime. The fun of it is in the later chapters, though, as you develop your mage(s) and customize the supply to work well with them. The first chapter is a very dumbed-down intro.
Man have I been busy. Just got a chance to kick back and saw you were playing this!!!!!!! Been wondering about it. Thanks for going into it. Just unwrapped death may die sunday. Got two hrs in with the missus. And lost both times😄 Just got done with our third game tonight. One turn from winning when we got destroyed. Saw it on your shelf. How do you like it? And will you be doing any playthroughs of cthulhu?
Thanks for watching, and glad you got a chance to get some gaming in! I really enjoy Aeons End, and the Legacy version. As for Cthulhu Death May Die ... it’s now one of my favorite games. Win or lose, it has been a huge success with my game group! I do have one solo play on the channel ... ua-cam.com/video/v7oo6vzKlAY/v-deo.html . Good luck with your sanity!!
It actually doesn’t .. I played it like that too, but I recently realized that that’s wrong. When you cast a spell, you place it in the discard pile and then it’s effect gets activated
Your choice of supply is interesting: you chose to purge your deck with this geophage and to accelerate the focus of your breach III with this spell. This is a damage dealer strategy, and a true solo strategy. Will it work?
@Faultyjoe They are uberstax and can be purchased at www.uberstax.com . They come 6 pieces to a pack ... and needless to say, I purchased several packs. ;)
😍

The random turn order is what really makes this deck builder different from all the others. :)
I didn't even realize it was possible to take down Maelstrom before Dezmodia. But well, I never played true solo in this game. 🙂

so you can only play this game once? i don't get this whole legacy thing. anybody explain it thanks.
Majority of the cards are still usable in the stand-alone version of the game.
22:00 I think the discarded card goes to the discard pile before the spell. 🙂
It actually doesn’t .. I played it like that too, but I recently realized that that’s wrong. When you cast a spell, you place it in the discard pile and then it’s effect gets activated
24:10 the card you bought should go to the discard before the others. 😉
18:14 wrong order. spell should be on the bottom

17:39 I don't understand the message. The minion deals only 1 damage to Gravehold.
Haha ... can't trust my eyes ever. :)
Where did you get those card stands?
@Faultyjoe They are uberstax and can be purchased at www.uberstax.com . They come 6 pieces to a pack ... and needless to say, I purchased several packs. ;)
Dale the Casual Gamer thanks , I also brought marvel champion and notice you used them quite often. Thanks
What are those card racks called?
Uberstax ... and they come in very handy! Check them out at uberstax.com .
I love you promote my 2 most favourite games. What are your thoughts of Too Many Bones? The only game I am missing and goes to my top 3 :D
I played the initial Too Many Bones when it came out and really enjoyed it. It hasn’t made it too the table since. So many games, so little time. :)
practice playing cards in play area :) all cards do effect only on playing (casting: spells). It does matter in many situations
Damm i was hoping you will play 2 players like marvel :(
I've got a "one-off" with two players, but for the legendary I wanted to try true solo.
@@DaletheCasualGamer Could you please consider going against extinction modes starting with first wave with two mages? I would love to see that :)
legacy not legendary :D 1:40
Legacy is legendary! ;)
