The Soviet pilot turning back to engage the German fighter is similar to how the Soviets were backing off in the beginning but regained lost territory and moved on to Berlin from then on. Poetic and beautiful.

if you have an enemy chasing you and get rid of him but your plane is faster u pull up and the faster plane looses controll later and gets to win the fight just using gravity againts your very worthy opponent
if the soviet pilot would have been slower he would have been basicaly sitting in one place stuck in the air for the german pilot to shoot
thats why the manuver is dangerous

I love the little details here. No silly Hollywood fireballs when some vehicle is destroyed, just a Soviet plane losing engine power from its engine burning out, or a German plane losing control from its control surfaces getting shot up. And the way that Soviet plane had its flaps out as it came out of its dive was such an awesome little detail, too.
When playing the game i naturally invented hammerhead maneuver once (you kinda feel the phyiscs eventually) including the flaps part... and i was shocked when i've seen exactly that shown in this trailer. :)
i mean expect it from a game that has numerous realistic aspects
U can see altitude. Below 2000m. That the boundary for ash-82fn soviet engine, where it gets max power and bf-109G had 50kg bomb. Otherwise, such a manoeuvre will be imposible
One of the coolest details is that when the Soviet fighter dives, we can see that the pilot is an Ace (a pilot with over 5 confirmed planes destroyed) as he has 7 stars painted on the side (each star for an enemy plane)

Both War Thunder and Warpath Trailers are honestly the better than any other Hollywood Movie, even though some are ok, it's just something about these two trailers that really make a difference.
