Ok...any singer watching this recognizes two seemingly UNIMPACTING facts about Kim in this presentation...LOL...She is hoarse and she is a little winded even from the beginning and it makes NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!!! That is how you know she can "sing" and she is "Anointed to sing"...Just like Renae Thomas, she can go head and preach through a song and keep a melodic quality to it. I LOVE IT!!!

All I gotta say is thank God for the oil !!!! I've loved this song since the 80s. I've NEVER heard anybody sing it with such power and authority, not even Ms. McFarland her self! I can tell she has been through by the oil that is on her life! Who wouldn't serve a God like that!?

Actually the choir doesn't sound a mess. The media did an poor job in the recording.. the microphones are not properly configured and she was actually hoarse but all things considered she did a good job considering she was hoarse.

I love this song and her voice. But she did A LOTTT on this song-and it takes from the beauty and simplicity of the song. I love her natural singing voice-here, she did a lot of squalling on this song. She’s magical tho.

I've always been a little annoyed by her over adlibbing (it was the style back in her day...not her), but her voice has NEVER EVER been to mess with! That woman can saaaaaaaaaaaaaang!!! I kinda like her heavier frame and voice now, despite that light bright younger body and voice she had back then. She can still belt those high soprano voice, which is respectable!
I also add, for her to still be able to sing this song after al those years says much about her talent. She set the bar way high when she sang this years ago, and it is NOT an easy song to sing!

How old is this? I have an old tape cassette of hers (Amazing) and was asking people about her and some church folks told me they think she passed away in a flood in her car on her way to a concert many years ago. Its like she just disappeared and stopped making music and appearances so I believed those people.

Too much screaming, I liked her better with the Milton Thompson Choir. As a musician, I'd have a hard time following her, I kept trying to find the melody line because I'd get thrown off. All those arabesques can be omitted because she's got the voice and don't need them
