Hi There,
This Video completely covers the India's Semiconductor Journey starting from 1976 when contemporary prime minister Smt. Indira Gandhi and his cabinet decided to set up Semiconductor Complex limited.
It produced it's first 5um chip in collaboration with Microsystems in 1984.
India's dream of becoming Semiconductor hub shattered with fire in SCL Mohali.
Later in 2006, the company was restructured as a research & development centre within the Department of Space. SCL was renamed to “Semiconductor Lab”.
In 2007 again, Another try done by UPA government to make Semiconductor from scratch in India. But this attempt also got failed due to rigid policies and delay in approvals.
UPA tried but failed.
Modi Government majorly started with semindia mission and announced quick approvals along with 50% capital incentives to the company setting fab lab in India.
Currently, We have 1.50 lakh crore announced investment which includes investment from Micron, Tata and CG power groups for setting Semiconductor fab lab or OSATs in different regions of India.

Is particular topic pe video jaisa kuch khas hai nhi. Hence adding few points below:
1. No product based vlsi company is in favour provide complete WFH.
2. You can ask for WFH (Hybrid mode) and if the team is good then manager will provide you. So, Hybrid mode is possible.
3. When you are experienced enough, a company may offer 3 days WFH-2WFO (like that).
4. Startups or small companies may provide full WFH but work life would be bad there because they would have 24*7 expectations.
So, In short: Complete WFH / Remote job is myth in good product based vlsi companies. Hybrid is possible and provided everywhere.
Remote jobs even if available, then only suit and provided to very experienced person. Who has no dependency to finish his work.

Krega but sirf repetitive work pe.... challenging job roles ko bilkul bhi nhi kr skta at least next two decades. Baaki future to kisi ko nhi pta lekin abhi ke basis pe itna bol skte.

I am confused bw nit calicut Nd nit rourkela my gate score is 578 i got nit calicut in round 3 in special round i am hoping to get nit rourkela as nit rourkela closed in 586 in round 3 should i opt for rourkela as it is near or i go with calicut which will be better for placements
Both are equally good for placements. Both will provide you various opportunities.
I would have chosen Rourkela if i was at your place.

Skilled Design or Verification Engineer demand is already there in India.
However a semiconductor manufacturing setup in BHARAT would ensure employment increase on each stage of VLSI Design flow.

Basics, loops, array, pointer, searching, sorting itna enough hoga.
