I know it's irrevalant but after Australia final, love to see some rafa classics extended highlights like (Rafa vs fognini 2018 Rome and 2019 montreal), Rafa vs Djokovic Rome 2012 ,2014 final ,( Rafa vs Tsitsipas 2018 Toronto final and 2019 Rome semis ) and Rafa vs Federer Monte Carlo and Madrid trilogy..my humble request for this matches..please
watching this video hits completely different after learning about the stress Sinner was facing behind closed doors because of the doping accusations...
This match was a subpar, out-of-form version of both guys, hence why it was so inconsistent and close at the same time. The fact that Sinner, who was in trouble vs Michelsen and vs Rublev in the previous rounds could gut out only a slightly less out-of-sorts Zverev, was an indicator that Sinner could finally know how to solve him. And the AO final proved to be the case as he was in better shape last night than vs here.
Zverev was ranked ATP 4 now meeting Sinner this time around he is ranked ATP 2. Tomorrow is an open field for him to retaliate and win his first grand slam
@@marclunas4363he is yes. Definitely the favourite but Zverev is not the underdog. He keeps his first serve percentage high even if he can’t break Sinner serve it goes to tiebreaker and he can win the match like that. Last few years he’s really worked hard on the rest of his game so he definitely has good chance of winning. It will be tough as Sinner has the complete repertoire of shots so anything less than 75% first serve won’t be enough. But Zverev and his team know this. It will come down to mental strength. If he keeps his composure he has the ability to beat Sinner, he’s beaten him 4 of 6 times but of course Sinner has come on leaps and bounds. Ultimately Zverev nearly always goes deep in slams and he deserves his first slam win. Has played 2 slam finals into 5 sets. Match point US Open 2020 and ran out of steam at French. Remember how much pressure he put on Rafa at French 22 in those horrible humid roof on conditions? It looked like Rafa would win the second set but was so close before that awful injury. I’m a massive Rafa fan so wanted him to win but not in those circumstances. But whenever Rafa wasn’t playing I supported Zverev. Now Rafa has retired I support Zverev. Please make it third time lucky so we can have a new champion in men and women’s. Congrats Madison, now it’s your turn Zverev 🎾👍🙏🏆
It was a tough game, but Sinner didn't concede a single break point and was always better in the important points. An indisputable victory, just as his leadership in tennis is unquestionable. Finally, a new king, or a new imperatore.
In a video about the most entertaining players in the top 100, the presenter put Zverev near the bottom, and said he “manages to make every big match he plays boring”, including this one. While I don’t necessarily agree, I suppose there MUST be a reason this match isn’t discussed when taking about 2024 matches
It’s because his whole game is based around his serve. He still plays great tennis tho. His backhand is arguably the best on tour and he’s a great mover for someone of his height
@mattjagar6324wrong. He does have a great first serve, but that isn't his bread and butter. His main strength is being able to absorb pace from his opponents and returning the ball accurately and consistently. Also one of the best +1 backhands ever
What makes the quality of this match more impressive, is the fact that sinner was playing at 70% and the conditions weren’t great either. So really the final tomorrow should be even better than this match😮
*Once again you can see the difference between Alexander Zverev and the great tennis players: Zverev hopes for “luck in the final”, whereas neither Federer nor Nadal would ever have given up after losing two sets.*
If Sasha can get 100% of his first serves in and have zero unforced errors, and, of Sinner decides to play left-handed, then I think Sasha might have a really good chance in the Australian open final for 2025.
@ Called it way before. Sinner generally has an upper hand against Zverev who in a lot of cases, lacks mental fortitude. Anyway, not sure why you're butthurt.
I watched some pre-match interview and it did seem to me that he think is going to win the match. I’m not sure about the result, but I won’t be too much confident that it will be a easy one for him
Whoever is betting on Zverev will lose it, he's not like Keys. And Sinner is a generational great, not like Sabalenka. Sinner in 4 in worst case scenario.
Sometimes I feel like Sascha isn't inventive enough...sometimes just a bit too predictable and gives his opponents a few too many setups. Down the line backhands? Forehands? Drop shot/lob combos? Sinner just looked a little too comfortable behind the baseline.
C logique que ce soit Sinner ... aucune difficulté contre un sacha au mental en bas... dommage j'adore sacha ❤ Sacha CHANGE DE COACH !!!! Va chercher le Jocker en coach et du sera no 1 !!!!! Allez Sacha
13:56 this is how you can tell a cheat and a moaner - this sort of response to the opponent hitting a winner ("why do I always get the bad luck?"): Lendl, Navratilova, Djokovic, Zverev.... Their natural reaction is to not credit the opponent - or imply they'd be winning but for biased luck...
or maybe its just incredibly frustrating to play against someone so good and hes a little frustrated after a long hard match..yeah that could be it too

Please fix the description. It's 2025 AO final.
@@Laland_1196I know that. I am saying another thing, it's incorrect "2024 Australian Open final" in the description.

Absolutely phenomenal match from these two. Looking forward to the AO final between them. Zverev totally deserves that first Grand Slam title.

I think Sinner will win. Just more variety in his bag. But it will be one hell of a fight and Sinner has not been quite up to his normal level this AO
Really hope Zverev can beat the trauma this time.
