  • This video features a beautiful rendition of a Shabad from the *Sukhmani Sahib*, composed by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. The Shabad emphasizes the true meaning of a learned person (Pandit) who understands the essence of spiritual wisdom, transcending mere scholarly knowledge.
    *Shabad (Punjabi):*
    *English Translation:*
The true Pandit (wise person) is one who awakens the mind.
He seeks the Divine Name within his soul.
He drinks the essence of the Name of God, which is the ultimate nectar.
By his teachings, the world lives and thrives.
He makes the Lord's story his heart's dwelling place.
The true Pandit never undergoes the cycle of birth and death.
He understands the roots of the Vedas, Puranas, and Smritis.
He recognizes the subtle in the gross.
He imparts wisdom to all castes and walks the path of truth.
Nanak honors such a Pandit and always bows to him. (4)
This Shabad teaches us that true wisdom is not just in the study of scriptures but in embodying the Divine Name, living with love for God, and sharing wisdom selflessly.
*Listen to this Shabad and reflect on the deeper meaning of spiritual wisdom and devotion.*
