Will 18x9.5 wheels fit on a 10th gen Civic? ...and we do some track prep

  • Short answer: Yes, with some serious fender rolling and grinding away at the bracket that holds the side marker.
Austen's Civic Si, Sincerity, gets some much-needed upgrades before hitting the track. We fit some Annovia Titans 18x9.5 +22 on her, cut some "aero" into the rear bumper, and some R1 Concepts rotors and track brake pads. We did not go into detail on the tire spec but they are 245/40/r18. Anything less than a 235/35 is too risky to run on these wheels.

18x9.5 + 38 or +40 is the perfect wheel size for 10th gens with a 255/35/18 tire. I have seen people run 18x9.5 + 45/46 with a 265/35/18 tire with no rubbing on lowering springs on track.

Thanks for the comment! I'll pin for future viewers' awareness. I'll also have to keep this in mind if I decide to lower my Si.

What do i need to get no rubbing at all?, i have a 2020 civic sport and I’m assuming 9.5 will run, which is the best size that won’t rub?8.5?

All civics below the Type R trim have the same fenders. There's a comment that I pinned that goes into good detail but the maximum without rubbing is 18x9.5 +35 according to fitment industries. I'd go with an 18x9.5 +40 or +38. Keep in mind, you'll lose some gas mileage when you go with wider wheels and stickier tires but it's not a huge difference. If you can't get an 18x9.5 +40 or +38, you can always try finding an 18x9 and I'd double check fitment industries website for fitment guides.
