I combine opposed rolls and raises, as an example you used, arm wrestling, for someone to win it is the first person to 3 to 5 raises. That makes it flow like a real arm wrestling match and when two failures happens it means neither gain ground and potentially make it boring for onlookers, which can have it's own issues.
To think this game started with three drunk guys in a casino hotel room with some cards and dice. ;-P ...at least that is the Con urban legend that has never been "acknowledged or denied".
Clarification, Wild Cards get to take whichever of the two die rolls the player/GM wants. (NPC bad guy for GM) That can be a Key Ability if someone or something has taken control of your character/NPC bad guy. Sometimes you WANT to miss. ;-p
"Defender must meet or exceed the Attacker's result or else they lose." "And you said the Defender wins in a tie... I'm not really sure if it necessarily says that here..." What the hell do you think the word "meet" means?
Not only do you get your wild dye on unskilled attempts but you also can Ace so you have a chance especially if you burn Bennies to retry

Are you going to do a combat mechanics video for Savage Worlds?
Yep! I will be streaming it on Monday!

Gotcha! That makes sense. Thanks!
Arm Wrestling - the highest die wins.

I no longer have the book in my possession to go back and check it. It is possible I misread something. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@LogicianTim You're actually quoting the rule at 15:24 -- but were probably flustered while presenting :) Thanks for the summary of the rules!
