My sister was so smart that……once when I was getting my pony, th would owners were friends with my sister, my sister said don’t let them use the pony because they will give her spur marks( because they gave her friends horse spur marks) and now I completely agree with my sister.
They said it to us too :,) Threatened to take our horses away if they're ever seen being outside in ''bad'' weather... Not like our horses CHOOSE to stand outside rather than be in our barn during a rainstorm 😭 They just love to see what's going on and are used to being outside, it doesn't bother them (opposite actually)
I could not agree more, especially the spur one
I know they should be used as aid not a tool
So, there’s this so kind adorable pony at my lesson barn. The person that leases her uses spurs, and what do I find when I ride her? Spur marks.

I don’t ride any horse but I do love them and I found out that there skin in thin like thinner than human skin 😕 so those spurs must really hurt

I hate it when people smack their horses with a small whip or crop when they’re spooking as well!

The second one was horrible I ride my Shetland pony sometimes but I’m 4 foot 9 so I believe that’s okay
It really is weight that matters as long as you under 20% of your horse’s weight you are fine ❤

No, people can use spurs. But not overuse them or use them so hard to the point where there’s visible marks on the horse from it
