I seem to remember the "big baby" comment was about the quicksand myth where Adam wanted to use a fire hydrant to fill their tank but Jamie wanted to use a slower method.
Which was also around the time Adam's blood sugar was low and he became somewhat infamous for getting cranky whenever this happened, and Jamie would tell Adam to eat a cookie, literally.

All jokes aside, that's pretty much what they are. I remember some of my favorite parts of the show we're them figuring out how to our Buster back together and make him better/stronger/more resilient, like when they gave him new "skin" and he ended up being pink, or the wooden "bones" the created at one point. Buster became as much of a member of the team as the rest of the crew, and all the gashes, weld marks, and burns were the battle scars that told the story of this otherwise silent being.

This made me tear up a little. Watching Mythbusters was one of my favourite pastimes when I was younger. I still remember the first episode I saw. I was on holiday in a villa in Florida with my parents, we were watching it on one of those old fashioned big screen rear projection TVs, the quality was awful compared to today. It was the episode where you were trying to see if a metal filling could pick up a radio transmission, I was meant to be doing school work but just ended up watching the whole episode. A year or so later I found it again back home in the UK on Discovery and binge watched as much as I could.
But those memories I have were not what made me tear up. You made me realize how big a part of your lives the show was, not just the 5 main presenters, but the whole cast and crew. It's sad that it ended, but it is nice to see you still here, tinkering and doing the things you love, and sharing that with us. Thanks.

Oh yeah, that episode. They went on and on about the possibility of two different metals making a point contact diode. Then when it came to the test with a real human jawbone they put the two metals on opposite sides of the jaw so they weren't touching, defeating any possibility of the test working. The what makes a point contact diode is CONTACT. The two different materials have to actually touch at a small point.

I grew up watching mythbusters. You guys and gals were superheroes to me. I named my dog Buster after your Buster. He is now 14 years old has survived two heart conditions and constant lung troubles. It scares the crap out of me every time and every time I think "this is it, this is the day my dog leaves me" and every time he comes out fine. The vet drains his lungs or changes his meds and he is back at it wanting to play and eat everything. I know the day will finally come where he no longer wants to bounce back, but until then he is my indestructible Buster. Thank you for all the wonderful times Mr. Savage.

I have Literally Seen every Episode of mythbusters, since the show first aired. It got even better when Tori, Grant, and Carry joined the crew. I think there were still many Myths yet to be tested. I my opinion, the show ended too soon. I really hope you read most of the comment on your channel. And I would hope that one day in the future, that Mythbusters will return. even if if the rebirth of the show is you and Jamie handing off the reigns of the show to a newer generation of Mythbusters. with you and Jamie occasionally doing a Cameo. We all would sit together and eat dinner and watch an episode or two every week night as long as the show was on the air. The entire cast will forever remain famous from just this one silly show. While hasty, sloppy, and blown up in the end, the show taught me science in a way that made it not only fun to watch but informative, visually, graphically, and literally. You saw science in action. No books, no theorys, no shoe string and paper cup mock ups. It was raw and real. Cement truck, evaporated. Buster, beaten. Cars, flattened. Myths, busted.

I'm feeling a pretty intense bout of saudade right now.
I absolutely loved the show and loved the crew. It was such a positive memory of my childhood and to hear Adam say they started filming in 2002 DESTROYED me. In 2002 I was a 7-year-old at home, probably playing gamecube and watching Flash cartoons...
    My god how time flies...

"Burnt cameras and chunks of Buster" may be my new favorite Adam Savage quote :D

You do know when you finally retire.. his face is going to have to go somewhere special.
    I personally elect the Smithsonian.

I elect the Adam Savage museum of memrobilia. Aka his current workshop turned into a museum

Not the Smithsonian, they'll destroy him and hide the fact he ever existed.

Beard for Canada why would they do that?

      @@somebodystupidd They wouldn't.
He's likely referring to the FALSE story that they destroyed 'evidence' that disproved Evolution.
Even though it was clearly a satire article that started the whole thing..
