- Scranton’s very own Kevin Malone, er, Brian Baumgartner, actor/comedian from “The Office,” stopped by the MUNCHIES Test Kitchen to make a batch of his famous chili from his new cookbook “Seriously Good Chili Cookbook: 177 of the Best Recipes in the World.”
Brian’s chili, which is inspired by Kevin’s infamous scene from “The Office,” has everything you could want: savory ground beef, ancho chili powder, and a clever secret ingredient (hint: it’s beans from a can).

hes done a bit but not enough. I was actually surprised to hear him on Adventure Time, and he also played against character type on Law and Order SVU

Brian seems like such a kind soul. Like a man who loves the world and sees beauty in everybody and everything. Hearing him talk about the Office like an group of friends making a show is so heartwarming.
To do the "Kevin" voice and persona so well makes me think this is one of the most underrated actors! I can't NOT see kevin and yet I hear a fully normal and well spoken man!! How did he do it so well!!!
yeah, you should see the office bloopers, Brian is acting like Kevin and suddenly he literally turns into another person, him and Dwigth actor are crazy actors, they completly change
Brian Baumgartner is definitely winning on the social media outreach front in comparison to a lot of his past castmates. He might not have the biggest mainstream following but he's really rapidly gaining traction in online spaces.

It helps that he seems like a genuinely nice guy. The more you see of the real Brian, the more you like him. Can’t say the same about some of the other cast members like Jenna
@@robwood1987 Yeah, I never Kelly/Mindy Kaling in the show but didnt quiet hate her much (at least until the last season). I've grown to hate her IRL though, especially if what she's said about the recent Velma series is true. She's claimed credit for her portrayal of Velma in the series, she said she relates a lot to Velma, and she's acted like it's her vision for the character, and in the series she's a real bitch, really racist, and extremely judgmental about things like height/race/looks/weight, and Kaling has clearly chosen to use hate-baiting, race-baiting, and queer-baiting to try and drum up social media buzz about the series. Even if the series was good or wasnt a Scooby Doo series but rather wholly originally it would still be pretty repugnant and Kaling is credited as a producer in addition to being the star.

It's so strange to hear Kevin without the slowness. I felt so bad when he spilled it in the office cause you know he worked so hard on it.

The first time I watched the scene where Kevin drops his chili, I laughed hysterically. Now, when I go back and rewatch it, I feel so bad for Kevin...
He cared about that chili so much, and put so much love & effort into it 😢
the worst part is he's so certain everyone will like it and he's so excited to share it with everyone. Kevin is fairly oblivious but he still recognizes that many people look down on him or think poorly of him, but he knows how popular his chili is and thinks it will both earn peoples praise and bring them together. When he spills it he not only loses the chance to impress people but by making a huge mess he knows he'll be mocked for it.
This is the greatest collaboration of all time.
Sometimes when he laughs a glimpse of Kevin comes out and it makes me so happy
1:35 When I was a bachelor I made chili all the time and lived off the leftovers. It is the perfect mix of being somewhat healthy, easy to make, and uses cheap ingredients (especially if it's vegetarian or has ground turkey instead of beef.)
And it can be added to tortilla chips, hot dogs, burgers or pasta. Also can just be made in just one pot. Nothing better than chili

This recipe is awesome and easy, I threw in some jalapeño and accidentally dumped a bunch of cayenne in so it’s hot as hell but delicious. Used brown sugar in place of white and it worked well too. Thank you Brian awesome video.

I remember having food in my mouth in college as I awaited a clumsy Kevin to finally reveal what he's actually good at. Needless to say, I spat my food out in pure laughter while feeling joy, horror, sadness, pity, and then pure joy again at that brilliant brilliant scene. Thank you writers of The Office and Brian for all the smiles and food I wasted.
Chili is such a uniquely Mexican-American invention. It’s best of both worlds, and boy does it satisfy and fill-you-up.

My mom always used Bush's Chili Beans in hers, so now I have to use them too. Chili doesn't taste right without them. They have their own flavor I don't think you can easily replicate.
I think its because of the way Bush's soaks the beans in a chili infused liquid that really penetrates into the beans.
However when it comes to chili, it's pure kidney beans or if I'm feelin more brave I replace the beans entirely with Barley.

or he's REALLY good at keeping a straight face and absolutely died on the toilet once you fell asleep or the next day at work or something.
one does not simply digest an entire bottle of extract without leaving some permanent scars :')
I use a reaper mash on about everything and have extract sauces I use too. If it was like one of those extracts that you have to heat up to make it liquid he is fucking crazy.

Honestly looks like a nice and easy chili recipe. I would have added more onions and garlic though for that much meat.
You wouldn't want to add too many if only because he's not strongly cooking the onions down to reduce their water content so that the onion juice sweats out and stays directly in the chili. You'd run the risk of it making the chili too watery.

I absolutely love a good pot of chili. I'm a huge fan of slow cooking it in a crock pot. The leftovers are delicious for a couple of days. You just can't go wrong with a pot of chili... doesn't matter the recipe. I actually never use a recipe... just go with what sounds good at the time.
I am literally making chili, just for myself. Right now. I'm portioning it into different containers so I can eat more of it later but, yeah. Eating chili alone here. Hope i don't spill it

I cooked this recipe this morning! It was a smashing success! I'm gonna cook another pot later this year for my friends. (And i'll be sure to secure the lid with some strong rubber bands in case I drop the pot!)
