Sanctity of Life Sunday was established in 1984 to recognize the human dignity of unborn children. All these years later, it’s no longer only the unborn whose sanctity of life is questioned… it’s the elderly, those with catastrophic disabilities, people with psychiatric disorders, and more. There are even Christians who are questioning how and to what extent life is sacred.

My wife is bedridden , so that makes me a care giver. She is also bipolar. Needless to say , that makes life extremely hard for the both of us. I needed to see this video. I and my wife need prayer. God blessed me by showing me this video. Joni is my hero !
Get her off of all sugar, corn syrup, dextrose etc and she will not be bi polar. It is a drug. It changes your brain chemistry which is the definition of a drug. It takes 27 feet of sugar cane to make a 1/4 cup of sugar. There is 1/8th of a cup of sugar in sodas and juices! It is so concentrated and causes bi polar, diabetes, and many other diseases.

I am the mother of a down Syndrome boy, now 37 years old, I thank God who gave me the courage to have another 3 children after him without testing to see if they had disabilities.. because I trusted Him and I would have never aborted! And my children are different to other young people because they have lived with their brother and supported him and realize the value of life! Praise goes to my Heavenly Father!
I am so amazed and honored to have known your testimony Joni, since high school.!!! I love you as much now as I did then! I am so amazed you are still alive and well and I am amazed I am still alive! I have always loved you so much because I have emotional and social issues, which is the opposite of you.My disabilities are more invisible, . My little sister was born with down Syndrome. She was a huge blessing in my life. She helped me to grow up with understanding and compassion that I wouldn't have had otherwise. She loved The Lord and always loved The Bible, even when my parents weren't in church and she couldn't read. She knew there was something about that book. She trusted The Lord as her Saviour before she went home to be with Him. I miss her, but I'm so happy she is in Heaven and I will get to see her again!

I just want to say I am a 72 year old Christian lady who thought her life was over as I keep seeing changes in my body. I am ashamed after listening to you both and apologize to you and to God for thinking these thoughts of late about my life...shame on me. I think God wanted me to hear what you both are sharing and know that there is still more for me to do. I just wanted you to know that. Thank you for letting me get that out and I will be praying for you and for this country to back to God and the sanctity of life.
It's satan and his infiltration into the society (and many cultures) that has people believing that those with special needs, the elderly, and such that has many people acting as though they do not matter. NOT TRUE.
Having worked with special needs children, i KNOW that the LORD does not feel that way.

I have a growth abnormally called ",Sotos Syndrome", which gives me unusual height, disproportionate head and hand size, and coordination issues. My kid sister is developmentally challenged after strike at age 12. Joni has been such an encouragement to my family.

Joni, you have been my hero since I was a preteen and my Mom heard you speak with Corrie Ten Boom at Women's Alive in Ontario, Canada. Nick, I show some of your videos to my Grade One class every year and together you guys brought my husband and I such incredible joy when we hear you proclaim the beauty and sanctity of all life!! Thank you for standing strong and declaring the holiness of life. My nation is become the top Euthanasian provider in the world and I am heartbroken. I will be reposting this video everywhere I can. I used to be so proud to be Canadian. I really fought it hard when people would say they were ashamed now, but i think I'm pretty much at that point. It's a beautiful, but fallen country. Our values are dirt, while our leaders brag in their sanctimonious and Godless way.
Father,please help me to remember these two when I question my worth to God, when I pity myself . May I toss my PRIDE aside and accept my worth in allowing my Father to use me !!
Recently our ladies group encouraged us to write on a paper brick something we wanted God to take away. My brick said Pride!

Thank you NIck and Joni for sharing today; I'm a grandmother of my 14 yr old boy Nino. he has a disfigured face due to a vascular tumor. He gets stared at and bullied- but i am constantly swinging my spiritual sword reminding him he is chosen by God to stand up for kids who are bullied. Be a voice for them, I know God will use him for his will! Amen

1977 I read your 1st book about your accident at 17. I stayed up all night and the next day God called me to be his child. Have walked with my God and Savior as the Lord of my life ever since. Also my beloved husband Dave who last month was called home by our God. 45 years of unconditional love for each other. Miss Dave's presence so much. Listening to you Nick tonight has so encouraged me to begin moving forward to be available for whatever God's will is for me now at 85 years. Love U Joni you were certainly the instrument our God used to bring me out of darkness and into His marvelous kingdom of light. God be all the glory!

Joni! I’m so excited to see you. I was a very young lady when I was going to church and someone gave me your book to read. I believe I read it twice. This was in the 1970’s. You shaped my teenage years. I remember so much how you painted using your teeth because you became paralyzed from your diving accident in the Chesapeake Bay! Now I’m seeing you move those arms. I just heard your message 3 yrs later. I'm not disabled and yet I am. Just in another way. And so are so many coming to counseling because of their disability and life- discouragements through trauma, insecure, godless, loveless upbringing, not knowing that there's a God who has created them in his image. Your message has inspired me. It's just hope-giving and encouraging. Thank God for your lives!

I've been living with multiple sclerosis (MS) for 15 years. I've been in a wheelchair for 10. My passion is spreading multiple sclerosis awareness and for living life as positively as possible even in my growing weakness. Needed a fresh shot in the arm to keep living for Jesus even as my strength fades from day to day. This video was just what I needed to see and hear. Thank you for sharing hope and life through your testimonies. I will try to do the same!

Praying for you to keep being strong with his help! I have come through many dark times with my health for many years & almost left a few times but totally depending on the Lord & staying close to Him in prayer, reading his book, & being obedient has kept me going. A sister gave this verse earlier today. God uses all things, even our shortcomings. I have many times when I fail Him & tears shed because of it, but he shows me that I can learn & even my failings have a purpose. ...."And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purposes." Romans 8:28
Gave me, for the first time, the perspective that life with a disability can be, actually, a gift!
Thank you for this presentation regarding people with disabilities. Both of my parents were deaf. My dad from Spinal Meningitis and my mother with various illness and polio. I was the eldest daughter of 5 children. I saw miracles throughout my life. My experience with my parents who were deaf and have passed, has strengthened me to be the woman, wife, mother I am. I have worked with many people with various disabilities. Each one was a miracle to me. I saw them having unique gifts to us to help us understand how much Heavenly Father loves each one of us. I look back and am grateful for my parents, and their gift to me and my family.
Joni and Nick, you're such a blessing to humanity! I don't see your handicap in any way, you're the most able people I know by the grace of God. Love you! ❤️

I’m a blind 61-year-old who is also dealing with muscular dystrophy. I started an organization to provide services for the blind in 1995 and had to retire in 2015 when the muscular dystrophy really got bad. Since then I’ve expanded a music ministry, playing and singing at 15 area nursing homes, personal care homes and facilities for individuals who are disabled. I think it’s so important to find a way to get involved and help other people. That’s the means that God has provided to help me maintain my feelings of hope. I also play quite a bit at my church. My church family provides most of my volunteer drivers to get me to the nursing homes, since the Roth area I live in does not have much in the way of public transportation. I am so blessed, despite the disabilities.-Rob Stemple

I have health challenges too, but God showed me who needed my help; & I can do it as I'm able & within my restrictions. Through this, I receive love & hope from others that keeps me going! Joni, your books helped me more than any others when I went through losing my husband during my pregnancy many years ago. Your outlook on suffering is so encouraging. God gave me this thought: God turned a beautiful mess into a beautiful message. He did that for me too.

Joni's, is an inspiration to me..My dad broke his neck in 1987 we cared for him at home for 8 years he was a Quadriplegic I had heard Joni's testimony so , I bought her books it helped me to understand alittle of what my dad was going through...I never regretted caring for my dad...but I know he is in a better place ..God bless you Joni.

Whenever I think I have problems, if I am wise enough to recall Joni and her plight (which is her strength through Jesus Christ), I am instantly silenced in the midst of my self-pity routine! I think no one has done more to be an encouragement to millions of others with "problems." If Joni can handle it, I can handle it -- not in my own strength, which is pitiful, but in the strength of almighty God as He both wills and works in my life to perform all His good pleasure. Johnnie and Friends is now in year 42. More people than you know have a better quality of life because of your ministry of encouragement. Not all disabilities are obvious at first sight. I'm one of those people who has overcome to achieve more than reasonably expected. ADD has been my challenge yet I've earned a Master degree. That without medication!
I thank God for ADD as it has required me to lean heavy on Him!💐

Now 14 years later and our son Moses serves the Lord, praising Him on many musical instruments and bringing others to Christ.

Wow, you three made me cry.... the good kind of crying! There was so much of what you said that has been a blessing, each one of you speaking with a heart that glorifies God, not inspire but because of your suffering. I thank my grandma for introducing me to Joni’s book when I was 10 years old (I’m 36 now!) and living in a small town in Paraguay (South America). The testimony of you three is incredible!
You are both such a blessing! I complain that I have to stay home during this virus but I am able to go outside and go for a walk! I realize I am so blessed! After multiple back surgeries, I am still able to walk! May God forgive my complaints!
I had Covid and then a few weeks ladder I had the shot so I wouldn’t have it again and became quite sick. Last night I couldn’t sleep and prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ for a long time. I am getting much better

You asked what we see. Well I certainly see no disabilities but your spirits alive and thriving in so much joy and faith. I am beyond touched. Being disabled means to me being negative about life and living without God at the center of our lives. I am elderly but live gratefully irregardless my circumstances. You two lifted me up and I am certain many many others. I see two very whole human beings more alive in spirit than any non disabled person I know. God bless you. Thank you so much. I work in a nursing home and I am so encouraged by what God can do even in our weakness. I also have a child with a disability. While I pray for healing I will embrace the opportunity for God’s grace and power to work in our spirits and mind. We are more than our bodies. This is one thing I have been reminded of. Thanks again my hope or expectation has increased.
Love, love, love this! I've been a fan of Joni for over 30 years! I read her 1st and 3rd books as a teenager/college student. I celebrate the life that God has given me! This fallen world we live in just spews lies about everything. But God gives us LIFE. and Jesus came that we may have LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY! Keep up the wonderful, anointed work that are your ministries.

I cannot tell you how badly I needed this and how desperately the world needs this. I am going to be an Art Therapist and I have Bipolar and terrible raging OCD.
