I have it on my condo lanai in FL. The table has a pot of flowers, a beautiful hand painted large art piece, wine bottles and glasses. All in seaside blue. Just home from a stroke and this paradise. Come over and have a glass of wine and watch the sunset with me and listen to jazz...

@@jaseronsko876 I can't speak for current NYC as of November 2022. But when me and my wife went in 2012. It was superb. Great food, night life, music, and culture everywhere. Idk if that's the current climate in 2022 NYC, but that is definitely what NYC is supposed to be.

I'm from Australia, and I went to NYC in 2014 and 2015, stayed with a relative who lives there in a small apartment, I really enjoyed the atmosphere of it all. Central Park, the museums, cafes, bars, the NYC people treated me very well. I really enjoyed Central Park at the start of fall. Hopefully NYC and the rest of the world can get back to its normal self eventually.

Words cannot express the loss I’ve had this year. My best friend who I served in the Navy with is no longer upon us. Him and I were inseparable I love and miss him. This beautiful jazz playlist was sent to me by him and I played all the time when I leave my house so when I come home I have soothing good vibes flowing through my house thank you so much for this music we have no idea the impact it has on my family. My dad's friend owns a jazz bar, and the music is amazing. This sounds like exactly something the band would play- one time I even got to perform “I’m beginning to see the light”, “fly me to the moon” and many others with a sax player, a trumpet player, a pianist, a drummer, and a bassist. It was probably one of the best experiences in my life. Jazz has a way of making you feel like you're on top of the world. Love the compilation and hope the 1% reading this has a great day

Christmas music, snowy weather, warm sweaters, beautiful Christmas lights. All things that put my mind at ease and soothe my soul. It’s august but I’m pretending there’s snow outside.
There's a store where I live called Von Maur, they always got pianist's playing in the store. This music makes me feel like I am walking through that very store. Just dressed in a nice dress, trench coat and wide brimmed feather hat. I stop to try the perfume samples, take a moment to listen to the music and I go on my merry way.
I’d like to one night walk through the French quarter of New Orleans, and just stroll the city listening to a tune like this and just take everything in, the beauty, the scents, the amazing people around me. This type of music with beautiful scenery is like wine with cheese.

As a New Yorker, I can say this kind of music in a authentic Italian/Pizza joint is the best. Even better when the sun has set and you're having a cannoli and coffee.
I just don't get why so many people do not love Jazz music. This is a comfort to relaxation & ease of mind, taking you to a different dimension where you really need to be.
It's okay to want to listen to other music. Its just personal preference.

Funny thing is I had this playing this evening while trying to feed my 7 month old, nothing normally works but this playing made him have a full meal lol!
This sort of music makes me feel like I'm in a fancy apartment, overlooking a large metropolitan city skyline on a friday night, lights glittering and twinkling like diamonds. The aroma of basil wafts through the air, due to the pesto chicken that I am making for my girlfriend, who is on her way home, and doesn't know I'm making dinner. A bottle of red wine resides in an iced bucket. Cabernet Sauvignon; always a favorite of the both of us. Meanwhile, to really set the mood, New York style jazz is playing on vinyl, to give it that crackly, warm sound to really bring everything together. Just as the vegetables have finished steaming, and the chicken has just been served, I hear a rattling of the door. It's Emily, my girlfriend of two years, whom I fell in love with due to our shared interests and a chance encounter via a mutual friend. As she takes off her shoes, she starts to take everything in. The smell of the basil, the warmth of the accompanying music, the sight of a beautiful, freshly prepared meal made by the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with, and the lights dimmed to accentuate the outside twinkling. Just as we sit down, it starts to rain, amplifying the homely, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Once dinner is finished and cleaned, we head to the bedroom, bucket and glasses in hand. The coolness of ice went wonderfully with the heat brought about by loving touch, providing a duality of sense and intimacy, with the jazz providing an unrivaled loving rhythm.

I can kind of relate to the first line: I have an apartment on the outskirts of Boston, and with the trees losing their leaves you can see the city skyline through the bare branches now. I'm watching the sun set on the distant buildings, listening to this. It's nice to have the view but I hope to be able to live in the city one day.

This picture captures the essence of serenity in the city that never sleeps. Blessed to have been able to have grown up in this beautiful place.

I love me some Jazz, it's the old classy type of music that I like. As a teenager I never found myself fond of modern day music. But this right here just hits the spot. :)

Imma be real I’m just here for the childhood memories of smooth jazz always being played at my late uncle’s house. Every time I visited. Smooth jazz. Every car trip. Smooth jazz. It’s like he lived off the stuff. Now I’ve started to really enjoy it and remember the good times with it.
I don't really think about "classy" when I think of jazz like this. I think of my youth when my father would wake me up early to go fishing in Buffalo, NY for walleye. We'd sometimes pull right up to the old factories/warehouses near Buffalo Canal, and sit there fishing off what I'd imagine was old boats/machinery in the water. Seeing the sun slowly rising up and glistening off the nearby windows, whether those were shattered or still intact. It felt... Right. Like you were inna place you were meant to be at.
I wonder if the magic of New York will ever be again. Let's all pray that it does.

I disagree. I think the mini new york is Barcelona. If you think about it, it is more aligned, has a coast like New York does, and is like if you lived in Madrid but with a coast. It is just much better. No hate, madrid is still very good.
