Boosie and Vlad addressed comments by Tyler Perry advising black women not to have such high expectations of their men. Boosie interpreted Perry's statement as urging women to follow their hearts, not money, as love based only on wealth is destined to fail. Vlad, on the other hand, expressed his personal point of view. He believes in taking on all financial responsibilities in a relationship, labeling men who split the bills as weak. Although acknowledging that not everyone is as financially fortunate, he also stated that even during his broke periods, he never expected the woman he was with to help with the bills. I think there’s a difference between some one who is lazy vs they live within their means. If we’re a couple and living together, and we’re both doing what we need to do, it’s not fair to measure a man’s worth by his pockets. His character, his values and his morals, the love and respect he has for you should be taken into account.
These conversations lack nuance sometimes and I think that’s what Tyler Perry was alluding to. Not to settle for less, but to take other things that are also equally important into consideration.

Tyler perry was specifically talking about black women who make alot of money and cant find men who are in the same financial braket and end up single and childless. See this is what I don’t get about this dude at times. whether you’re working as hard as you can etc. etc. this dude was sleeping on peoples couches going through the struggles too and he’s rich already. So it’s so easy to judge, it took this man 15-20 years of trials and tribulations to get where he’s at so fellas who are probably like me. Being as independent as you can grinding, whether it’s school, starting your own business etc. even if you are going half on bills with your woman etc. it’s all a process and takes time.
