Love the true miracles that you present here, Richard, thank you so much. (And thank you for bringing laughter and joy to me, my siblings and family during your entire television career!) I have a wonderful miracle (although God's done several in my family's lives) I'd love to share with you. Maybe you'll deem it suited for your audience. Until then, I'll still continue to watch and appreciate what you bring to our lives. God bless you, Richard; and, again, thank you.
I experienced a miracle back in 2016 when I was brought back to life after a septic gallbladder attack. The miracles that stick out for me: Miracle 1: My mom who usually doesn't wake up in the morning until like 11am woke up at 5:30am to use the restroom and she found my Medical Alert button on the bathroom vanity when hours before it had been tied in a double knot on my bedside table. I can't untie a double knot but my mom always forgets and ties it like that so how it got on the bathroom vanity defies explanation. Miracle 2: The paramedics had been trying to understand the directions to my house and failing to do so when another paramedic (who wasn't even supposed to be working but had gotten called in cause somebody else couldn't work) overheard the driver and his partner discussing the situation and was like "I know exactly where that is and I can take you right to it." He navigated the whole way and what should have taken 20 minutes took less than 10 with the young man navigating. Turns out the young mans uncle is our neighbor so he'd seen our house and knew right where it was. Miracle 3: They worked on me for 20 minutes and were just about to call it when one of the paramedics walkie talkies crackled and somehow jumpstarted my heart and they were able to stabilize me enough to take me to the first hospital and then Life Flighted to a second hospital where they could continue treatment. Miracle 4: Having no idea what was going on and what was causing this they took a chance and did an ultrasound and found that my gallbladder had shriveled up and died. Actually from what I remember the doctor said it had been dead for probably years (I never felt any pain because I'm paralyzed from the waist down). Miracle 5: My sister was in my room and my gallbladder doctor was explaining the symptoms that I should've been having and as it turns out my sister had been having the exact same symptoms described by my doc and when she told him he actually ordered for HER to have an ultrasound! Turns out she had gall stones and actually had HER gallbladder removed while I was still in the hospital! Miracle 6: Less than six months later my high school sweetheart found me on Facebook and we were able to stay in touch and become best friends for 3 years before he went to be with Jesus in 2019. Miracle 7: I got to meet the young paramedic who showed the driver of the ambulance where I lived and oddly enough it was at a big family reunion and I found out that day that we are actually distant cousins! Miracle 8: I got to be here a year later to be told that my sister was pregnant and 9 months later I was blessed with a beautiful niece who is now 6 years old. Miracle 9: I was baptized in 2020. Miracle 10: I got to see the bewildered look on my gallbladder docs face when he saw me one month later. It was priceless. He was all calm and collected when he was talking to me but when he got up to leave he turned around, shook his head, eyes wide and walked out the door mumbling "you were so sick I don't know what the hell happened!"
If anyone is interested in the heart transplant recipients story then there is a video called Transplanting Memories on YT. It talks about how people take on the characteristics of the heart donor. Eating habits and lifestyle characteristics. This would not have a noticable effect on this man.
It does my heart such good to witness all these precious stories of good people and the blessed hand of God moving in their lives!
