    Add an air dynamic nose box to the trailer:
    Install the generator upstairs & storage below.
    Exhaust fumes away from pit work area.
    Better fuel mileage, Etc😊
    Use dual caliper sensors setup:
    Haltec & the "new setup", compare data logs.
    Knowledge is power!
    My youngest brother used to drive Laguna Seca in the 70s in Formula Atlantic, 1st with down force by Wayne Ewing.
    Surprised the entire grid😂

    My first trackday was magical. I spent so many years as a gamer playing video games and doing simulators. When I finally did a trackday it was like a dream come true, but the realization that I was not in as good a shape as I thought was evident. I've spent a while now trying to work on myself so this next summer I can do it better. It's awesome to see you hitting Laguna Seca. It's definitely on my goals for next year. I started at The Ridge in Washington on my old Ducati 900SS, and I felt like I did days worth of squats after I was done, I was so damn sore.
    There is absolutely nothing as exhilarating as a trackday. I hope your videos inspire others to work on their cars and go do the same.

    E46's had 2 different length wheel speed sensors for the rear dependent on if you had a manual or auto trans. You seem to have the shorter style. Might be worth seeing if the longer version will fit better.

    • @jameshatton4211
      @jameshatton4211 10 місяців тому

      Yeah I agree! Why is that?
      I think it's cause the content creators seem to fluff up their video by throwing in so much content that the audience doesn't want to watch for some reason? But with Rob I'm 100% listening the whole time making sure I don't miss something? Heck I will even tap backwards to rehear something to clarify what was said so I can interpolate what is going on?
      Even though Rob is fixing problems and he's having issues with his car this time....I still stuck around till the very end 👍
      As a competitive example, I really like watching Adam LZ, right? But I do find myself tapping the forward button a heck of a lot on his videos?
      Then you got other creators that I won't mention their names (who are extremely massive channels btw) and they clickbait every single thumbnail so that you have to watch a 40min clip for just 20seconds 5 minutes from the end of the clip!
      I'm getting so sick of it that I am starting to call it out. I mean these creators don't give a sh!t if they are intentionally wasting your time because that is the intention from the beginning. It's how they get paid. Rob is sold out and dedicated to just making excellent technical car content. He's not consuming people's time with useless fluff hoping the audience will stick around for the content that they clicked on the video for in the first place?
      With Rob, it's not ALL about the content either, much of his content is dedicated to solving problems and improving designs etc, so we are engaged even with his problem solving content? It's the fact that Rob is doing it himself, he's learning on the fly and is good enough to include us in on it by teaching about it afterwards. Rob invests a lot into what went wrong so that he can educate his audience? And even if he doesn't know at the time....we will always hear back from him about it in a later episode when he's got his own mind wrapped around what's going on?
      Going back to the example with Adam LZ, this isn't something that he can do as his team are the one's doing most of the work on his cars (he's got lots of them and he does a lot of events so his channel could never allow for all this) even if Adam was as capable as Rob?
      Rob had got fewer cars though, and all of them I like? With Adam's cars, I don't like ALL of them..... so when he dedicates a whole episode on a car I'm not really interested in, well then I'm probably not going to watch the video?
      I think if Rob had 32 cars that I probably would find that I don't like ALL of them and if Rob dedicated episodes to cars I didn't like, then I'd probably find myself skipping watching those particular videos?
      I think (again I'll use the example Adam LZ) if Adam had less cars and they were all cars I really liked (the Mustang or the corolla I just have to click on those episodes!), then the ratio of content I like vs dislike would be much higher?
      Thoughts?

    • @jameshatton4211
      @jameshatton4211 10 місяців тому

      Alternatively there's channels that I literally had to unsubscribe from because they just jam pack fill their episode with so much random stuff from their life that the thumbnail becomes a lie. They are the 'cashing it in' creators and everything to them is about capitalism and they are always begging their audience for likes and shares lol. I don't think Rob has ever asked for likes. Rob doesn't ask "can I have" your likes. Rob says "you can have" and then cuts the feed and blueballs you like a girl on date at the cinemas 😆

    Your trailer wants 50A because they designed it to be able to run everything at the same time without any issues. With the 30A gen, you'll only be able to run about half as much at the same time (this will be important when you get serious about racing). It will be worth getting the right generator in time. You may also benefit from some tire warmers.

    No other way to say this and it's going to sound preachy, but it comes from being a burn survivor, having been burned while trapped in my race car, July 1999: Wear your damn driving gear! Not just your suit, but socks, shoes, gloves, balaclava, H&N device, all of it EVERY time you go on track. I don't care if your testing, doing a shake down in and out lap, what car your driving. If you go on track wear the gear. It doesn't just buy you safety, it buys you time to get to safety. The other thing that comes to mind is this, you set an example for your community. You inspire them, they get on track, they wrench and do cool things. Set a great example for them. My gear saved my sorry butt, it'll save yours.

    the same house thing has happened to all the large racetracks in Sweden and i am so mad. They build houses next to a well established racetrack, 30+ years after the track was built, and people move in knowing there's a racetrack. Then they complain about the noice and get restricitons placed on the track. This has happened atleast 4 times on large tracks here.

    Hey Dahm, if no one's said it to you before, maybe look into wire mesh motor mounts. Don't want the 3-rotor to end up like that poor Supra...

    Oh man laguna seca. I did a ride along with a youth leader in his mustang when I was growing up. I agree, it looks like the video games but of course nothing can prepare you for what the corkscrew actually feels like.

    Rob cut that corkscrew like he was playing Gran Turismo.
    I'm surprised I still remember this track layout by heart, I guess hours of simulation actually does pay off a bit.
