Everyone should worry. My dad is in a 2023 with 96k. Engine 9:48 derated. My brother 2022 engine derated . Both are kw t680s. The 2022 derated and broke down last year November.
Pittsburgh Power's Max Mileage Fuel Bourne Catalyst. Get it and start using it. It's expensive stuff, but 1 gallon will last you a month to a month and a half. Save yourself shop time. Using it is like "deleting" your emissions system without actually deleting it. No more derate alerts or any of that crap. Look into it. You'll thank me later.
imagine if they change the message from a 3 hours till breakdown to to 3-6 days till breakdown , enough to give you time to finish your business and take care of it when you get home.
I used my trick for glitches clear/codes clear. No derate 3,hr finaly doesn't come up for now. Turn key on & off 6 times. Then wait a minute & do it again 6 cycle key without ignition & repeat if necessary.
Hello marc get yourself a OTR tool, I bought it for my Paccar motor, I believe they have the same tool for Cummins motors, what it does it clears any code and it will do a force regen if needed, it also will clear the derate issue your having, it's the best investment I may I had to use it twice and saved me a ton of money. It cost 750.00 but it's well worth it. P.S I do a force regen once a week also try not to use to much of the def fluid at the pumps, once in awhile but the blue def.
Hello, how are you, I have a 2019 Peterbilt and the same thing is happening to me and I happen to be in WI on Interstate 80. My questions are, were you able to solve it and what did they do to your truck?
It’s the water separator fuel filter. The clear glass filter needed to be changed. But the other fuel filter on the motor can cause the problem too. You can replace them yourself if you carry spares or go to the dealership and have them replace it.
It's all about sensors I had a t680 dpf all the time kenworth has no clue how to fix it they just patch it up. If it derates pull the magic plug. I had my dpf deleted off my new truck no problems when it's just running all engine.
when i was in Laramie I had choice of going back to cheyene or i think it was richmond wyoming. where you are is the better choice, parts delivery will be quicker at your location🙏🤷♂️
That “we’ve never seen that before” answer pisses me off as well. They’ve got how many of these on the road and it’s the only one to ever do that, bullshit! Good Luck !
What is your mileage right now? For the price of these you shouldn't see issues for a long time. As said in the comments if you don't need to DO NOT buy a truck right now with build quality. That's why until I got sick with Cancer I drive company. The driver gets dumped on. How is Scotlynn with backing you? They went out and bought alot of these KW correct?
@@marcanthonystorm ....Good deal but I'm hoping you get NO MORE problems from the truck. It's a beautiful KW and I know how much you enjoyed the orange KW you had. I think it comes down to quality control right now with all the issues going on in the world.
I'm just guessing but I think i seen that GREEN light on a different model years truck. its still dousing ROD? blocked FILTER(s), Number one may be POOR quality DEF fluids. maybe its just like the MIL lights (shows up but nothing is really wrong)
Sorry to hear about that brother. I went to the MHC Kenworth today they quickly diagnosed it found one code and I fix the problem. I’ve been driving several hours no issues. I release the video tonight on this.
This rant your doing right now is another reason that I enjoy watching and subscribed to your chanel.💯Again you are saying what is on the minds of many drivers out here!!
I hope you are not so ignorant to believe the "old-timers" conspiracy theories. I am no fan of DPF/DEF systems, but it is stupid to think those systems were adopted to cause breakdowns.
And you’re right about that conspiracy. It’s something I heard a few days ago and I threw it out there kind of as a homage to the old-timers timers. I did take the truck over to MHC Kenworth in Cheyenne they found the issue and I fixed it myself. I’ll do a video later on if the fix is good through the end of today. Thanks for commenting.

that worked for me, im in a 22 T680. still about to get these fuel filters changed though.
It might be better to just change the fuel filter. It takes about 5 minutes if you do not yourself.
JUST DELETE THAT JUNK U WILL NEVER HAVE THAT PROBLEM EGAI ... i did Mines at 245,677 Now i have 767541 No problems other than oil Tires and brakes.

Thank you brother. I checked into MHC here and they found the code to be the fuel filter. Going to change it now and get rolling. Thank you 🙏 brother.
So what was the issue or what was the solution?
Replaced the fuel filter the next morning. The truck will alert you with this warning usually when the filters need to be changed.
Peterbilt 2020 derate 2 hrs, and my def gauge showing empty, Wht to do now ?
need DPF LEVEL SENSOR CHANGE

My 2022 kw w900 just did the same thing last week and I changed my fuel filter and it went away
That’s the fix. The filter will clog sooner if you’re driving in the colder temperatures below 20°.

The problem is idling all the time when it hot those trucks need a tripack or something on them instead of idling
True. I try not to idle if I don’t have to do I get out of the truck and do some photography so the truck doesn’t have to run as much.

It has 34000 on it but I found the problem which I suspected. Fuel filter needs to be changed. MHC Kenworth put it in the computer and checked it.

We’ll find out tomorrow. Not a good sign for KW if it’s a big problem with 30k miles.
I’m sending cheep repair wishes your way. Good luck with them.

What did the shop do in those two days to fix?
@@danmc949 fixed the clutch fan
Guys stop complaining and sue the givt for these regulations that purposely take you off the road in dead of winter. Whar an evil plot to kill drivers
DPF sensors are going bad and they are on back order
Yeah everything is on back order.
Hi mace hope you get fixed soon stay safe buddy
Thank you 🙏
All I know is back before this DEF crap engines were alot more simple to work on and trucks ran better.
This rant your doing right now is another reason that I enjoy watching and subscribed to your chanel.💯Again you are saying what is on the minds of many drivers out here!!
It’s just the abuse we truck drivers go through just to take care of our families and people don’t get it.
how is that kw and how are u doin man
The truck has been 👍 good up to this point. New derate notification never seen before.
Already derating

My 2021 T860 just did the same thing at 170,006 miles. It's a giant scam
Check your fuel filter. Replace the filter and it should solve the problem.
