Bubblegum pop? I always thought that genre was something more western-like, you know, how Megan Trainor's music is or the Barbie Girl song, whatever. This has an Asian flavor to it, in a positive sense. It's more playful and sweet imo, anyways. This is just a more "traditional" version of Korean pop than what we usually mean when we think "k-pop". And tbh it sounds different from j-idol or older Japanese pop but I understand that to someone who hasn't heard lots of both, it can be hard to spot.
I really appreciate this group! Orange Caramel doesn't force the 'sexy' concept like all the other girl groups tend to do, and end up coming out classy, cute, and even sexy when they weren't focused on it. They're a natural sexy that really makes me salute them for not trying. I might be the only one who thinks so, but oh well. Feel free to disagree, but it's my opinion so it's not wrong and if you tell me it is then you shall be ignored for ignorance. Let's all agree to disagree respectfully.
This is just an opinion but as a guy I find this group to be one of the most sexy, if not the most sexy groups because of they're playfulness, expression and personality in their videos without forcing the sexy. Although it helps that Nana is absolutely stunning! And Lizzy and Raina are simply adorable.
They are absolutely stunning and adorable, and I really liked that the natural, playful beauty that they have was present instead of forced "bodily beauty". I don't listen to K-Pop due to the 'sexiness > song'. But ya, this group proves that K-Pop does have nice songs in their circle, just only being overshadowed by the sexiness of female singers.
Ohh I like that wording you put in there. "Overshadowed" is a nice way to make it sound more intelligent, and while the group is only a sub-group of Afterschool, I still think that the subgroup is more focused on the vocals than the complete group. Not that the group doesn't have talent, it's just the subgroup focuses less on body to 'emphasize' the natural talent.
