I am from Costal Karnataka usually in the month of August there would be continuous rain but this time it is like summer in monsoon. The weather pattern has changed a lot. The excess rain happening in Himachal had to be over here. The most important reason for this is destruction of western ghats in the name of some useless development program in that area. In the name of ETTINA HOLE scheme the number of trees destroyed is huge that there is no count on it and it will not stop and we need to just keep on seeing these things and destroy the nature🙂
What is ettina hole scheme? Who are the tree and woodcutters? Where is the wood carried? These criminals need to be exposed. It's because of these corrupt bureaucrats, builder and politician nexus

I am from himachal and no new road was made close to 25 kms of my hometown still their were land slides. This year rain continued for 3 days without stopping which caused land slides.
Mountain walls are said to reduce landslides. When we cut mountains for infrastructure, the loose soil needs external support from slipping down hill. Contractors don't build it to prevent additional costs.

When I was in 12th class, we had a subject called Environmental studies (not sure about current subjects) and I remember most of the time the teacher would be absent and a physics or maths teacher would rush in to finish the syllabus of their subject as they often unfortunately thought "ye environment vagera padke kya hoga, these are useless." I would often get disappointed as I really enjoyed studying environmental studies. Now, the issue is most of us never had the mindset to understand and give importance to environmental issues and that is very clearly evident amongst the masses whether they are the authorities or even a lot of common people. Very well-articulated video and I completely agree💯. Also, we need to educate people regarding this serious topic and find ways to teach people in an interesting way so that they learn.

Being a himachali i was expecting this video from @Abhiandniyu. Thank u for the video Each and every thing described is completely factual. One thing I would like to add is poor household drainage system which leads to landslides. People don't manage their household drainage which ultimately lead to loose soil and later landslide. Also people have built houses very close to small streams and block the natural route of rain water. Hope our government will take necessary action. And as a citizen, as a survivor, as a loss bearer we will learn a lesson

Baddi, Himachal has the highest number of Pharmaceutical industries. The no. is so big that India is the highest manufacturer of medicines. And the transportation was affected because the linked route to chandigarh (via pinjore) broke due to heavy rainfalls.

When I was in 12th class, we had a subject called Environmental studies (not sure about current subjects) and I remember most of the time the teacher would be absent and a physics or maths teacher would rush in to finish the syllabus of their subject as they often unfortunately thought "ye environment vagera padke kya hoga, these are useless." I would often get disappointed as I really enjoyed studying environmental studies. Now, the issue is most of us never had the mindset to understand and give importance to environmental issues and that is very clearly evident amongst the masses whether they are the authorities or even a lot of common people.
Very well-articulated video and I completely agree💯. Also, we need to educate people regarding this serious topic and find ways to teach people in an interesting way so that they learn.

Each and every thing described is completely factual. One thing I would like to add is poor household drainage system which leads to landslides. People don't manage their household drainage which ultimately lead to loose soil and later landslide. Also people have built houses very close to small streams and block the natural route of rain water.
Hope our government will take necessary action. And as a citizen, as a survivor, as a loss bearer we will learn a lesson
