OMG - I so need to plan a vacation with my wife to visit here and half the other villages you have featured! These places are just absolutely stunning!
Dear Kevin! We walked again in a small, quiet, beautiful village. The strange thing for me is that I don't hear dogs barking anywhere, I didn't even see a cat. I also really liked the church. Thanks for the walk.
Hello from Texas (US). Just discovered your channel---and I love everything about it! No music, talking, etc. Just lovely bird song---and charming views. I found the bus service interesting. I live outside of town, in the countryside---but within a small community. I wish we had a bus service like that, I would use it. I don't like having to get in my car to drive 20-25 minutes into town every time I have an errand. The town I drive into for work, errands, appts....has about 40,000 people...but no bus service. Owning a car is a must have here :( I am looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for making them!
Thank you for walking me through some place I'll never physically be able to see.. It's like I'm there..... walking it too....and the church.... being able to see the beautiful interior.....and the graveyard....so much history there....
I was knitting having coffee and watching this amazing video that I just found and thought WoW! it was so beautiful thank you for such a nice walk I saved the video! all the way from Canada 🇨🇦 cheers
Icomb is a very old village and the houses are proof of that. But the most remarkable is the church which seems dated from Robin des Bois!!. The interior of the church is also remarkable for its warmth, its welcoming side, its very successful restoration; the wooden ceiling like a ship's hull. We want to sit and stay in peace in this church. The surrounding countryside is also beautiful. Thanks Kevin. 😀😀😀😀😀
Thank you once again Kevin for a beautiful walk! Needless to say, when I saw you approaching the church I was saying "please please go inside " Thrilling to see and the inside looks almost like a mini museum. It's hard to fathom that a building from centuries ago still has some of it's original brick and things. There is so much history in the Cotswolds which is another reason I love it so much. Okay, here comes my weekly question Kevin....hahaha. I didn't see one thatched roof in this village and having watched so many of your walks there seems to be some village that are primarily thatched (less though) than other roofing materials. My question Is there a reason why one would choose thatched over tiled or is it purely aesthetic reasons? Stay well , take care see you next week : ) ~~~Jo💞
My pleasure, great observations. In the 17th C buildings were being roofed with stone slates, there is some history to suggest that this was due to the fire risk with thatched roofs or as a result of the “The Great Rebuilding” that swept the country between 1570 and 1640 or the transition from medieval to modern buildings. Hope that answers the question. Have a lovely week :)
Wow beautiful love this screen love the trees

Been to this lovely village many times. It's always been very quiet when we've been (not many tourists) and a lovely church.

В России такого нет. Очень ухоженные места
Ovako je bio i za vreme Kralja Ričarda. Zar ne. Samo da se još pojavi mali Džon i Robin Hud.

I don't dare ... I'm shy ... Sorry !
Is it as beautiful now with all your "visitors"?
