Getting ready to seal my drive driveway and was looking at both of these products. My driveway is 4,800 sq ft so I don't want to have to do it twice! Thanks for posting this review...heading to Menards!
Don't use crack filler, use roofing tar in tubes works great, just fill and use squeege for excess, then spread sand on top , brush away excess sand with broom then seal
@Bubba Hubba before i recoat my drive i allways use this tar,use squeege and remove excess, put dry sand on top and use broom to remove loose sand ,and has allways worked better than any crack filler sold,Then when im ready reseal driveway, and you cant evan tell there was a crack in driveway.
I recommend the Latex-it UltraShield from Home Depot instead. The surface needs to be prepared and cleaned so the product will bond well. Also it’s best to do 2 coats to fill the cracks better.
over the years i have tried different brands and different grades of the latexit..and found that the one you used from home depot gave be the best results for the price ..just had to make sure i did good prep..mix the contents well and i misted the surface with water before laying it down......on the smell, you are right...to be it has a rancid smell..
Terrible review. First of all latex it’s is not a Home Depot brand it’s just sold by them. Second you read zero directions. Can tell no prep was done and you’re supposed to do it twice. Third the coverage is based on how bad of shape your driveway is in and yours was in terrible shape.
Absolutely! It was the middle of July. I bought 4 buckets of 800 for my driveway......and I came up short. It was only a 9 x 10 square up by the the garage. So I grabbed a bucket of 200; figured what the hell. So winter came and went and the driveway still looked great, EXCEPT where I used the 200. The whole driveway was fully cured, and the 200 simply dissolved, just sitting there over the winter. It's like it was never put on at all. The 200 is not even worth the time used to apply it. It shouldn't even be sold!!
He would have paid 100 to to 120 dollars for a professional job for that size driveway where I live. It would look better than what he has going on. But you right people have to make money and do upcharge. If money is is tight I understand that as well different strokes for different folks.
@@abelincoln332 here in Illinois u would only pay double the amount of material which makes no sense to do it yourself, plus these store bought sealers suck compared to bulk sealer
If you ever worked for a asphalt comp. that seals asphalt you will know why I would Never have them seal a driveway. It might be cheap because what their using is 50% water.
@@rayfrazier8657 excatly, the last company that came to do my driveway i got to sit there and watch it run down to the end of my driveway and almost pool up the amount of water they had in there. What a waste of money.

the crack filler sold always after time washes away,so you have to keep buying junk product.and its water based so thats why
@Bubba Hubba let me know when your done how it worked for you Bubba Hubba
I think that the best one I have found online so far is "Rock Solid Driveway Coating" also available at Menard's...which we don't have in Florida.

Thank you for the review!
Needed to use a brush to push it down into the cracks

Mines in bad shape it's going to soak up the sealer like a sponge .
Why would anyone get the 200 . The 800 is 3 bucks more and has a 8 year warranty . 200 is pure shit

Next year half the amount required, then a few years grace and start all over again!
p.s. ,that crack sealer they sell washes away in time
Should have just paid to have it done
Most places will charge you 5x as much as what you can do it yourself!

That just destroys the drive way my guy
What does
Sealing it, it just puts more oils in the driveway it’s gonna crack and peel more then it would have if you left it alone
If you seal your better off going with a water based
@@AcesAlmighty you want to add back oils and binders so the asphalt stays flexible and doesnt dry up become brittle and start to crack.
i always use more.....
