Abstract:
Professor Rosalyn Türeck works on the beginning of the aria, especially the trill, as it must be performed as part of the melody, without rushing it. Simplicity is never achieved without complexity. This trill has to be played lyrically and not technically. The melody flows along with the trill. She talks about the most suitable fingering to beat the trill, always avoiding fingers 3 and 4.

Fantastic! I studied with Ms. Tureck in New York Cityin the early 1990’s, I hope there are complete video recordings of these masterclasses.
