Oh, my goodness! 🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤ I had to look for this song. Binging "Lucifer" watching Maze and Eve's wedding... totally fell in love again with the song. It will be the song at my next wedding.❤
God tells Maze, "You're perfect the way you are." Because she could never cry over not having a soul, and try so hard for one, if she didn't already have one, and know the value of love and sacrifice.😊 All the time she spent with Trixie, her love for Eve... Her quest really is about understanding what it means to have a soul. (Which later she realizes also means she's going back to Hell) IMO though it speaks to a bigger question of whether all the demons have souls. During her wedding she says some of her demon "family" that show up are a lot like her. So it's really saying all demons have souls, most if not all learn to ignore it and live a lie. Just like evil human beings do... The beauty of the ending of this show is it's exactly as how I've always viewed "Hell" and redemption. It really is about guilt. "God" doesn't send you to Hell, we create our own Hell from unreconciled guilt or sorrow. Even in near death experiences, people have said they've been rescued from Hell when they realized the truth about themselves. Hell is a crucible which burns away all irrelevancies until only a pure product remains: the truth.

I thought Worship fit Eve's ethereal, 'golden retriever' nature like a glove. I'm a Wiccan officiant, myself, and I can tell you, it's hard as hell to come up with something original besides the tired ' dearly beloved' that doesn't overshadow the spotlight that rightly belongs to the couple being joined..so major props to Linda. I loved the Garden of Eden theme they had.
