I love that you jump from subject to subject - it makes your podcast much more real. I am married to someone who has ADHD and autism, so I am quite happy with that kind of conversation. I like autumnal colours myself, usually quite dark and moody, so it is a breath of fresh air to see you with all your neons and brights. I would never wear them myself, but it is lovely to see you decked out in them. I am from Cheshire (though have been in exile in the South East for almost 40 years 🥲) and can attest that the proper term for an alley is a gunnel!! Jinny
Hi Rachel I love your podcasts…I’m not a rainbow knitter but all your gorgeous rainbow knits just make me so happy!! You put all the colours together so beautifully…really love the purple and yellow one ❤. You have inspired me so I have been getting the spectrum fibre tropics mini club each month and will be knitting the little squares blanket in all those lovely brights!!!! Please Don’t stop podcasting you’re one of my favourites!!❤❤
Hi from Northern Minnesota in the US. I am a new subscriber and your use of amazing color is what caught my eye. I love your bold choices they are fun to look at, but most importantly you look so happy and excited working on them and wearing them. And that is what makes your videos stand out for me. I don't want everything to be stage set. I want to see people enjoying their hobby. And a extra joy comes when they show us pets! Bonus points if it's a fat orange cat! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hello from North Yorkshire! I'm new and I really enjoyed your podcast so thank you. I have adhd, and three kids with adhd and autism so I like the way your brain works. It just makes sense to me! Your makes are all so lovely, and I'd love to give the cardi a go. Can't believe your holiday, my husband took our kids camping and ended up next to a couple who argued really loudly every night. When he asked them to keep it down the man got two axes out of his van, luckily everyone is okay and the man was arrested. Also my eldest had terrible growing pains, he's just finished college so it was a long time ago now. I remember running him warm baths in the middle of the night to help with the pain, it was horrible and I really hope your boy's pains stop soon. I'll have to catch up with your your back episodes! Xx
Ah hello and welcome! Oh goodness that sounds like a scary kinda trip, they were just a bit sweary for our liking. Wow a bath in the night sounds like hard work, our bath is currently full of stuff as we’ve done bedroom sorts and not finished, so everyone’s just showering 😂
My son used to get really bad growing pains too when he was younger. It was horrible to see, especially as i couldn't do anything to help, but thankfully it didn't last too long.
I also have ADHD so I love the random anecdotes. I honestly can't watch the calm, thoughtful, podcasts with high production values because they're too boring. Not in a "this is totally lame" way, but my brain just gets bored and I start doing something else at the same time and realise I've tuned the whole thing out. I often have to watch things at 1.25x speed. You're fine, my brain likes the way you do things. It's weird hearing you talk about I have heard really nice things about the new yarnsmith dk acrylic for blankets but all I've used of their new yarns is the sock yarn which is beautifully soft and while I've knit with it, it's not been worn yet. And, while I live in Scotland, I am American and we don't have Wilco or Boyes where I am so I needed the explanation, thank you.
Aww what a brilliant comment. I also speed lots of podcasts up, I need the info in my brain faster ( I do this with audiobooks too). But glad you like my style. Your support is appreciated. X
Lovely podcast I have stuck the hoodie shawl cardigan on my list 🎉 would love to cast on now but I’ve got the gansey on the go and also I want to cast on a radiate too and arghh!!! I also loved the puppo snoring 😂 xx
I didn’t realise how loud she was till I watched a little bit. Didn’t ironically have time to watch it all but she’s loud!! Make sure you do fun knitting along with the big projects xx

Welcome welcome! What an incredibly nice comment to receive. That’s made my day. I do not have any fat orange cats. My friend does though lol.

Love your love of colour. Will definitely keep an eye out for your destash. Happy knitting x
Aww thanks Ruth
A snicket is what you call an alley. A Gunnel is a snicket which is under cover, you would probably call it a passage
Ah see a passage is what my grandad called the 2nd door to his house, it’s funny we all call things different things.
My son used to get really bad growing pains too when he was younger. It was horrible to see, especially as i couldn't do anything to help, but thankfully it didn't last too long.
Yeh seems to be lasting much longer than my daughter.
