    My buddy works at AMSEC, I’m deciding between this and RF. Man you really sold me on this one though, but TL-30 in LA county is better for my mental health too.

    • @DeanSafe

      Both are great safes, but the TL-30 is really the strongest.
      BTW, Amsec also makes an “RSC level 2” Safe. Some people refer to it as a TL 10.

    Excellent safe in it's category. I don’t care for the industry's confusing fire rating system. I would just put 12 hours at 500 degrees and make it the leader for a while.

    I have 19’ BF6030. Great safe with the fire and Burglary protection. Also weighs 1300lbs, so no one is just walking away with it!

    Unfortunately the 11-gauge that you mentioned at least twice is NOT a wrap around. The 11-guage in the door is spot welded to the exterior 1/2 inch plate.
    In my opinion it's this safe's weak point. The welds from what I have seen are not continuous and usually less than 1-inch long every 12 inches.
    They need to weld at least 2-inch long welds every 12 inches more in the corners and behind each bolt to really protect against forced entry.

      The BFX door construction is the strongest in the industry. The 11-gauge bolt guide is welded directly to the ½” door plate which cannot be seen due to the steel pan that holds the Dri-Lite fill in place. The main security comes from the ½” solid steel door plate and the continuous bolt guide that uses a Double-Wall 11-gauge box construction to support the 1 ½” locking bolts against any pry attack. The locking bolts are secured in the body of the safe which uses a double-steel wall and concrete filled construction that offers far more rigidity than any single-wall gun safes that are the standard in the gun safe industry. Thanks for watching, John

    AMSEC’s best salesman was the then engineer for AMSEC who answered any question on the ARFCOM forum. When they lost him, they lost their reputation.

      I know it's disappointing to lose such an informed person in your form. Amsec engineering department is quite robust and churning out some great redesigns and going in the right direction. What we're most excited about is the new president, he's sharp as tack, very smart and really a wonderful person to talk to. I think we will both see positive changes out of Amsec as they are not sitting still for one second. Much thanks for watching my video and thank you for your comment it could bring about some positive changes, John

    What TL rating is it?

    • @DeanSafe
      @DeanSafe  6 місяців тому +1

      It is a U.L. RSC 1. it also comes in a U.L. RSC 2. By the way, it's still the only Safe manufacture in the United States that has managed to pass and receive the ULRSC level two rating. Thanks for the question, John

      In general i’ve been told even sheet metal lockers are EMP proof.

    What water resistance does it have?

    • @DeanSafe
      @DeanSafe  Рік тому

      That's not really a trait that you'll find in a fire/burglary unit. It is something you will find in fire safes that are not considered burglary resistant safes, and in particular, *data fire safes* actually have an extra door that seals out the moisture. Thank you for your comment. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call one of our Los Angeles stores 800-827-7534.
