Bedankt voor deze nuttige video. I am learning Dutch thanks to your wonderful videos and I would like to give you a few tips to improve your excellent English too. In English, we say "do the lesson" not "make the lesson" and we also say "explain to you" rather than "explain you". :)
This is a very nice explanation but I am missing the issue of the position of niet , that is also something that needs to be explained as we are confused with where it is should be in the sentence
Great video, thanks. I have two confusions with geen and niet. When to use and where to use. Because in few sentences niet comes at the end of the sentence, and in a few it comes in the middle. Is there any rule to understand how to find the position?
It comes in the middle when you're using a word that's not a noun. For example, in the exercise, for sentence #3, the word "duur" means "expensive". Expensive is an adjective (a quality), not a noun (a thing). So "not expensive" is "niet duur". For sentence 5, "buiten" means "outside". "Outside" is a preposition of place. The sentence translates to: We don't go outside.
Hi! Because NIET is not placed behind an adverb of Place (naar buiten). It's usually placed between the adverbs of Tijd (time) and the adverb of Manier (manner, way). For example: Wij fietsen morgen niet samen naar school . But often, a sentence doesn't contain so many adverbs. @@loveline119 Thanks a lot for taking time to explain this. I appreciate it.
Thank goodness for this video 😂
This video thaught me more about geen and niet than my dutch teacher, now I finally understand the diference
Why was niet not at the end on sentence 5?

Can WE Say ik heb niet de sleutels?
No🦉, the “niet” in that sentence you just typed needs to be last in the sentence. “ ik heb de sleutels niet”
Saying "if you learn dutch for some time", you mean one day?
Ik wil green huisdier
Jij Kent mijn zus niet
De boodschappen zijn neit duur
Ik heb geen problemen
Wij gaan niet naar buiten
Ik maak de opdrachten niet
