    1 kg boneless chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-sized cubes
    1 cup fresh cream
    1 cup yogurt
    2 tablespoons ginger paste
    2 tablespoons garlic paste
    4 tablespoons lemon juice
    4 tablespoons finely ground cashew nuts (optional, for extra richness)
    2 tablespoons melted butter or ghee
    2 tablespoons green chili paste (adjust according to your spice preference)
    2 teaspoons garam masala powder
    1 teaspoon cumin powder
    1 teaspoon coriander powder
    1 teaspoon white pepper powder (or black pepper powder)
    Salt to taste
    For Grilling:
    2 tablespoons oil or melted butter for basting
    Metal or bamboo skewers (if using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning)
    Instructions:
    Prepare the Marinade:
    In a large mixing bowl, combine fresh cream, yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, ground cashew nuts, melted butter, green chili paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, white pepper powder, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
    Marinate the Chicken:
    Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix until all pieces are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. This allows the chicken to absorb all the flavors and become tender.
    Prepare for Grilling:
    Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 200°C (400°F).
    Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece to ensure even cooking.
    Grill the Chicken:
    Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with oil or melted butter, until the chicken is cooked through and has a slight char on the edges. If using an oven, place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and bake for about 20-25 minutes, turning once midway and basting occasionally.
    Serving:
    Once done, remove the skewers from the grill or oven. Let them rest for a few minutes.
    Serve hot with naan or paratha, and a side of mint chutney or raita.
    Tips:
    For Extra Tenderness: You can add a tablespoon of papaya paste to the marinade. Papaya contains enzymes that help tenderize the meat.
    Vegetarian Option: Use paneer (Indian cottage cheese) or tofu instead of chicken for a vegetarian version.
