WOW! So glad to see that it's still there. I used to run the one in North Myrtle Beach back in 1985 - 1987. Both were owned by the same franchisee. I used to start every day over a cup of coffee with the manager at this location before driving to the north end. Great memories!
That compact disc jukebox is really futuristic. One day all music will be on CD. I wish our Godfather's was still in business. I used to play Double Dragon there while the pizza was cooking.
Yes indeed, enjoyed a nosh there with church folks back in the day. Most are gone now, so it is a pleasant memory. And I did some work at that location way before that, so its always interesting to see if what I worked on is still there.
I go to this location every time I visit MB. It is only open HALF THE YEAR! They finally opened a GF pizza in Charlotte. So I can get my fix without a 4 hour drive. Now it's a 1 hour drive! LOVE LOVE LOVE the Super Combo. It is all I ever order.
Happy to say that Godfather's is back in the Columbus, Ohio area! It's only a Godfathers Express at a truck stop in Obetz on the outerbelt, but you can still get the Classic Combo. Best there is, bar none. As the original godfather would say, "Do iiiit!" '
We had several of those in Charleston SC . They are long gone sad to say . They had a killer buffet line ! Don't know why they closed . Wish they could come back.
I worked in one in the early 90,s and this is an exact replica even the kitchen double swinging doors the raised seating area, and wood trim. Truly a time capsule.
Isn’t this a chain? I like it though. It has a retro vibe. Nobody has arcades like that anymore. The music box is cool too. Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
I was a kid in the 90s in Aberdeen, Washington, and Godfather's was my favorite pizza place. More toppings and cheese than other pizza chains, and lots of video games. The place even had a raised floor like in this video. I haven't been back in many many years, they are probably closed now, like most Godfather's locations.
I live a few blocks away and never been there. Now I'm going to try it. By the way, this video reminded me of the mall scenes in the Stranger Thing tv show.
We ate here every year in the 80s and early 90s. Unfortunately, it has become trashy and overpriced. On our last visit a few years ago they only had pizza, no breadsticks or any sides; and it had nearly doubled in price. The A/C was broken. People were smoking inside the dining area. This used to be a great family-friendly place that was PACKED! Sadly, those days are long gone.
GodFathers is the best pizza. They put the cheese on top, no one else does that. Cheese on top is the way pizza should be made. The ingredients don't dry out. Unfortunately, I haven't had GodFathers in over 30 years because I haven't lived in a town that has one.
This is nothing like what the real restaurant was like, the original restaurant was themed with the vintage 40's Genre. it was a classy 1940's family restaurant, all i have to say, is you guys missed out on alot of cool things, if you were not born in that generation.
What are you talking about? This place has been in existence SINCE the 80's. They did not "recreate" this. This is one of the oldest GF pizza locations on the planet.
GODFATHERS !!!! Best pizza ever ! I wish it would make a comeback..... I love their pizza !

I like Godfather's Pizza 🍕.
I have been there a few times since the one in Charlotte are long gone.
Exactly like the 80's/90's for me.
Very cool old school pizza place.Neat CD music box and old arcade games.Pizza actually looks good. Thanks for the video. 🔥🔥🔥.
No problem 👍
Never have eaten there. Since you have Spotlighted this place, the next time I'm in Myrtle Beach I'm gonna try it out.. Thanks for Spotlighting!!!
You are welcome!
You won't regret it! It's usually the first thing we go for when we get to the beach!😃
@@justpassingthru3186 is the pizza "New York Style"? Thanks!

We love Godfathers. Used to have one in KC but not longer. Do eat at the one in Branson.

I love Godfathers my sister and I used to go here for nostalgia sake
last time I ate there was 2013 and its awesome to see its still the same.

We had one near here too, years ago, seems like the best places are always the ones to go.🥺
Welcome back who does not like Pizza🍕
Great video!
Thanks!

It's delicious!🤤😀
My sister worked there back in the day, until she got robbed. We loved it there.
The taco pizza is the best!
Still have one in East Moline, IL and it’s a time capsule as well.
Who remembers the older guy that cleaned tables at the one over off of 17 bypass?
I remember a guy at the filling station off of 17 that was awesome. Bused super fast and sang. A true local legend.
That was it. The filling station. That’s the place. What a great guy. The world needs more of him.
I remember that guy from the filling station he turned cleaning a table into a show!
His name was Issac. Super nice guy and one hell of a worker.
Just recently I have been wondering the same thing 🤔
My family and I have eaten at that godfather’s many times over the years.
Did they find a used set of everything at an auction?

That big wooden tunnel kinda makes no sense
The pizza is to thin, I remember it as a Very Deep Pan style pizza that was served in a dish not this thin crust stuff,
