Thank you for your sharing. No matter how many ways to do this, but your way is one of the good ideas to follow. Thanks again. Anyway, if you can do another video to share us about the wrought iron part - sprial. It's shape vertical spiral.
@cooliolai Using the Push/Pull Tool, located in the perameters of the Paint (Fill) tool, and the Move tool. Hope this helps, and good luck, on your future creations!
@doctor353, Make it a component by selecting it, then right clicking, "Make Component", Then (With your component selected) you rotate while hitting ctrl to duplicate it at the same time.
Hi,sirpum. Thank you for choosing my movie to your favorites. i am sorry to forget the title of this song. I selected this by Audio Swap in You Tube option.
Close but no cigar. You need to: 1) make a disk 2) show hidden geometry 3 duplicate the disk 24 times (or however man segments there are in your circle) to make a cylinder 4) use line tool to drawl a slanted line around outside the cylinder to form helix 5) delete the cylinder 6) use remaining helical line for follow me tool. Changing the angle on a half-circle does not result in the proper geometry. The further you tilt it, the worse it gets.
Hello. I've tried your method instead, but still get the wrong geometry. I need to have a helix to follow, but angle to enter must be around or the same as the angle to exit the helix... do you perhaps have some tips? Thanks in advance :-)
crap. the spiral is not made from arc segments which are 2D objects (images). the only way to make a spiral using sketchup is to make a cylinder, rotate one of the bases and multiply the object by rotating it to the same angle. unless you use some script, this is the only way to do it.
This is actually a failure. The spiral isnt symmetrical and is therefore not accurate. However it isnt actually the user at fault rather the plugin is , as the author states, inaccurate and bugged. Pity !

If your going to make a video, maybe it would be better to explain what you're doing because this is confusing

what song is this man its amazing
I like to use skethcup, but if it can make the layout as in ArchiCAD? Thanks a lot
Ed's correct, it's a helix, not a spiral. Pretty basic really.
what software is that ?

@TheSrh90 great, thanks
how do i double that thinggy??
HEY~~~~AT 5:04~~~~
HOW TO MOVE THE SURFACE UP????
ANYONE CAN HELP ME?
incredible long and difficult..........if you know more powerfull software like arc+.
it might be ludovico einaudi
@alexandernavid Google sketchup
This video is 12 years old what the heck
i can do this for a pogo stick :P
@Dorminay42 he just doesn't know the correct way of doing it.

no it aint just use the follow me tool
That's a helix, not a spiral
