This clip is incorrectly labeled. Only 3 craft mentioned qualify as an Ultralight(FAR part 103). The rest would be listed as LSA(Light Sport Aircraft) due their gross weight limits. This video is quite misleading! 😞 I have 55 years in aviation and a licensed pilot. Thumbs DOWN! 😞
As an American student pilot I can tell you that barely any of these aircraft are ultralight. A true part 102 ultralight aircraft can only have 2 seats and a five gallon flue tank read online to find out more
United States definition of "ultralight" Weighs less than 254 pounds (115 kg) empty weight, excluding floats and safety devices. Has a maximum fuel capacity of 5 U.S. gallons (19 L) Does not exceed 55 knots (102 km/h; 63 mph) calibrated airspeed at full power in level flight.
Don't trust this information. Even though all of the featured models are referred to as "ultralights", only five of the models, Aerolite 103, eSpyder, Quicksilver MXL, Belite Chipper, and Cri-Cri, are true ultralights under FAA FAR 103. The others probably fall into the Light-Sport category.
I like the idea of electric propulsion, but just like electric cars the batteries will eventually need to be replaced. I can't imagine how expensive that would be, and not to mention disposal fees and regulations of transporting those batteries. I believe maintenance would be very expensive especially parts from other countries.
Everyone commenting that these are not ultralights - please remember there is a world outside of the USA; a world where these are considered to be ultra/microlights.
This is clickbait so far all he has shown was sport planes not ultralights
Only a couple aircraft listed here qualify as FAR Part 103 Ultralight exemption in the United States. You should make this a little more clear.
NONE of these aircraft meet the FAA definition of "ultralight aircraft" which require no pilots license.
Thanks for your feedback!
Some do. For instance the "103" in the name of the "Aerolite 103" means just that.

Any aircraft that can cruise above 63 miles an hour don't qualify as ultralight.
only 3 were ultralights , rest all light sport. lies.

The CriCri depicted here is an RC plane...
Thanks for your feedback!
Would be useful to have price ranges, if in actual production; where it is made.. seems like basic data.
Please dislike the video so it doesn’t keep popping up. False information.
These ultralight aircraft are incredible!

Terrible video. AI I suspect.
So much talk and say absolutely nothing but BS
Most of them are light sport aircraft
Aeroprakt makes amazing small planes and the A22 is also a flying bomb in Russia. I prefer the non explosive version
