I love how all these sordid stories of these late 80s/early 90s minnow teams almost always involve someone nefarious disappearing with millions of dollars!
This and the 1994 Simtek - aesthetically my fav cars of all time, with the Lambo having a slight edge over the Simtek for its sidepods. But dark purple liveries rule!
I'm not alone it appears in praising this car's design, it's beautiful and so glad they kept them. Also very pleased that Lamborghini dipped their toes into F1 and I wonder how it sounded apart from being loud. As mentioned the side pods were ahead of their time to see similar looking ones on 2022 Mercedes.
i wonder if someone could slap the old cars into modern windtunnels to find flaws that made them so slow and see if the concept of the car would have even worked with upgrades
They left quite an impression on me. Those bright green liveries and I seem to remember them pulling out some half decent results now and again. Id forgotten they had Adrian Newry till I just looked them up.
Everyone is a critic, but the high pitch "modem" squeal in the left speaker of the music is quite irritating. Meanwhile in the world of fewer complaints, excellent video as they've all been so far. It's nice to remember the days of garagistas, that have long since passed.
Thanks, good video. And if there is one positive thing to be said about the team, at least the car was surprisingly reliable when it made it into the race!
Just found this channel. Got to say your videos are really good. Would you be interested in a little collaboration around another “The Full Story of” video?
In 1991 there were 34 entrants for a 26-car grid, so on Friday morning the eight drivers from the four new teams plus Coloni who'd never qualified for a place the previous year would do pre-qualifying. The four fastest drivers would advance to qualifying proper, where the now 30 drivers would attempt to qualify for the 26-car starting grid.
Calling Life and Andrea Moda mediocre is like compliment to them.
Very true they would have loved to be called mediocre but never good enough for even that 😂😂
Arguably the most aesthetically beautiful F1 car ever built.
No doubt about that!
It's nice. But that title has to go to the Jordan 191
I touched the 291! It’s on display at a museum at Monaco. I loved how it looked with those triangular inlets.
I do remember the lamborghini although I didn't know they raced under the name scuderia modena. amazing video keep up the good work!

I find these forgotten teams of the 80's and 90's so strangely fascinating. Great video mate.

An excellent video, well researched and produced!
Really good video, such a good watch
Those yellow sponsor logos are what made the cars from this age look so stunningly beautiful.
i really like their triangle shape
One must wonder what would the team have done had there been money to develop the Lambo 291.
do leyton house next! they're also a late 80s team that didnt last. they've got an interesting history as well.

@@koini11 easily the best looking formula one team ever.
Yes, please. I never got the full story of what went down with the "Leyton House" company in Japan.
Technically march is leyton house
@@davidionita5610 in the 80s yes, but later in the early 90s it was its own team
I’ve been saying that about those sidepods since the second week of testing…slightly obscure reference to drop into casual conversation though…
Nice Vid on one of my favorite cars of all time
How about doing the story of Forti Corse F1 Team?
Everyone is a critic, but the high pitch "modem" squeal in the left speaker of the music is quite irritating. Meanwhile in the world of fewer complaints, excellent video as they've all been so far. It's nice to remember the days of garagistas, that have long since passed.
Yess a new video keep up the good content
Tbf, this project had potential and they weren't totally uncompetitive, but yet again, money...
Thanks, good video. And if there is one positive thing to be said about the team, at least the car was surprisingly reliable when it made it into the race!
The only notable things about the car is that it had a lambo engine and that it outqualified a double world champion once*
Video suggestion: history of race starting procedures
Great Video. Could you make a video of the Zakspeed F1 Team, please.
That guy, Mika Hakkinen, is a total disaster ;)
He's no Mika Salo!
"The Full Story" **15 Minutes Long**
I wonder what would have happened differently if one more person retired at the US GP, and Modena had scored a point at their first race.
Both that and van der poele not stopping on the last lap
It's Goo-gel-min.
Excellent video though.
Amazing 7th! Not even Alpine could do this
wow, thank you!
Alboreto didn't drive for Minardi until 1994. He was with Footwork in 1991
The car strikes a weird resemblance to the Mercedes W13 withbthat sidepod design
Nakajima left Lotus after 1989. He was with Tyrrell in 1991.

I don't understand the pre-qualifying section

for a first season it is good
