    For time intelligence, I used to think that you needed to mark your date table as the Date Table. I don't believe this is the case anymore... working with a client they have DimDate and Date. Date was marked as the date table, but the time intelligence was referencing the DimDate. The relationship to the fact table were also with DimDate. So... I wonder if this was ever the case, or whether it changed at some point? Interesting though...

      When using a Date dimension table, if you make the relationship between the Date table and the fact table on a "date" data type column you don't need to mark your date table as a date table. But if for example your relationship is based on an integer date key column (eg : 20191112) you will need to mark as a date table for Time Intelligence to work.
