My father flew 60+ combat missions in a P47 WWII European theater. Spent 1 year in hospitals recovering from a back injury after bombing a supply train. I would love to someday go for a ride in one. He wrote a book "From the cockpit."
Here’s a question. Is it just coincidence or is the Airbase Georgia a fighter-focused (or smaller I guess “light” bombers) base and Airbase Arizona a bomber-focused (and large transport) base? I saw on the website: Airbase Georgia- P-51, F4U, SBD, P-47, P-63, and some trainers and Airbase Arizona- B-17, B-25, C-50 (I think), C-45, and others.
HEY CAF MEDIA would you guys acquire to purchase THE WW2 American Medium Bomber Martin B26-B Marauder called Flak Bait that is currently being restored at the Mary baker Engen Restoration Hanger inside Steve F Udvar Hazy Center in Chantily Virgina?

Looking forward to seeing Fifi and your B-24 in Syracuse in June
Wow! I believe my mom saw this plane fly in Guatemala in the 50’s. Hope I can get her to see it when refurbished.

There's no official designation to sort units like that. It all depends on the units space, capabilities, member talent, etc.
This is so cool
Ya know, it's a shame Mr. Musick doesn't have much passion for warbirds. 😁
Is the CAF going to acquire some of the Cavanaugh aircraft seeing as they are being pushed out of ADS?
It wouldn't be appropriate for us to comment on another group's operation.
Was this the same one I saw in a corner when I toured Cavanaugh Flight Museum years ago?
Yes, it is.
No sir, its not silly at all

That is the Smithsonian's bird, we could never.
