2 minutes in and I’m already cussin. Looord. I’ll just admire yours, Jess 🤣
Those nails!! I have no idea how you can work with them. Beautiful tumbler!
Absolutely love those colors together! Such a beautiful cup😍
That was a crazy amount of work. Great job, it’s beautiful.
Turned out beautifully. And it looked like a lot of work. But it was worth it. Love it.
Thank you so much!
This is gorgeous and the template makes it look so much easier. I gotta make a personal cup with this!
Beautiful tumbler (as always) and love the sweatshirt! ❤️
Gorgeous colors and love that you added vinyl!
Thank for your honesty! It looks amazing and realize that it is a labor of love. Thank you for including your pin stripe sizes. Going to give it a try this weekend!
It definitely is but one worth trying at least once!
Stunning tumbler!!! Love your tutorials 😍
I love these and can't wait to try one. I just purchased the template a couple days ago. I have watched several videos and without a doubt, you had the best guidance and luck with placing the vinyl template on the cup. So many people have struggled with that. I also love how you had the darker colors weighted towards the bottom and the lighter towards the top....a great spin on this that I had not seen before. As always....you rock!
Thank you 😊
This color selection is gorgeous! I love the "mood" of these colors😍😍
Thank you 🙏 I’m loving this combo lately
This came out so gorgeous ! Love it 😍
This turned out beautiful. The vinyl looks amazing on this!❤️
Thank you ☺️
Gorgeous!!! Love the textures of the glitter with the vinyl and the marble mixed in with regular vinyl and the glitter. Great tutorial.
Thank you 🙏
That design is absolutely stunning! Not gonna lie, a little intimidating, but beautiful!
This is gorgeous! I've not seen anyone do a tutorial on how they put down vinyl along with glitter on these tangrams. You did such an amazing job! I just love your videos! Thank you!
Thank you ☺️
That turned out really beautiful!
I love your color selection and that you put your own twist to it! It came out beautiful!
Thank you 😊
Absolutely stunning!! You make it look so easy, even though it’s insanely tedious 😂
Good Morning!!
My favorite coffee and your tutorials on Saturday morning lol! This is beautiful Jessica!! 😍 I have done 1 and haven't wanted to do another until now. 😫🤣
Thank you 🙏
Great job as always Jessica! You have way more patience than I do!! 😆 I think I’ll have to pass on this design because I might have a nervous breakdown!! 😜
That was so satisfying to watch I loved it
My goodness. Beautiful but so much work. Here in Australia people would not pay the price warranted. Love your work
Thank you 😊 I totally understand that! I had to try it tho. Hobby enthusiast here 😛 so I’ll try any design at least once
Oh my goodness! I know it was tedious, but it turned out so lovely! Love your eye for colors and design.
Thank you so much ☺️
Beautiful as always!!! 💕
I have this template and have been so intimidated to try it haha I’m so glad I watched your tutorial! I feel ready now 😊
Thank you ☺️
Absolutely beautiful.
You are sooo talented!!
So pretty, love this design 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I really should try one of these, I really like your colors
This came out great!! I do not have the patience to make one of these! Lol it was fun to learn the process though:)
This design reminds me of window art of some sort. Its so pretty. I need to give this a try!🥰🥰
Thank you! Cheers!
I have been waiting for you to do this tutorial!!! I watch all the others but never attempt anything until I see my girl Jessica do it!!! I absolutely LOVE this one!!!
Thank you 😊
@@FlynnSistersBoutique you’re so welcome ❤️
Beautiful tumbler!!
Awesome!!! Thanks for all your tips.
You made this look easy. 💗
I love this one!!!
That was a lot of work! I am still not sure if I can tackle this but I am going to try. I need a good level surface to align the bottom. Thank you so much for showing and sharing such a technical tumbler! I don’t know why but you make things so much less intimidating. Have a great weekend! 💕
Happy to help! Thank you
You did it again girlie!
Gorgeous, next time I try it I'll definitely try it your way.
Thank you 😊
Absolutely love 💘 this
Your work is always so amazing!
Thank you
Thank you for doing this. I wondered how people were using vinyl and clear cast. Now I can start mine. I've had the cup covered with vinyl for probably a month. 😬 Yours is great.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for posting this!
Love you and love that shirt! 💕
Thanks!
Gorgeous!
Beautiful beautiful cup.
THIS is truly a labor of love. It's gorgeous. I want to do one of these, but I'm sooooooooooo not wanting to. Thank you for this tutorial.
Go for it! thank you!
It is another beautiful cup.
Stunning
I love this! I love the random design and that it isn’t perfectly uniform!🤩
Thank you ☺️
@@FlynnSistersBoutique you’re welcome!!
It's absolutely gorgeous! I love to watch your videos and try to do them, but I don't think I would try this one! 😖
I want to try one so bad. I love this!!! ❤
Thank you 😊
Beautiful!!!
Gorgeous !!
Wow... so elegant and pretty 🤩
Thank you ☺️
Beautiful as always!!
Thank you! 😊
You, legit, make these things look so easy when I know they are a pain lol. So pretty.
thank you!
beautiful work! You have more patience that me!
Love this cup! You make it look easy lol . I’ve had mine cut for a month and still haven’t touched it. I was going to cut the pinstripe template for my lines though.
Thank you
Beautiful
It's beautiful. I'm not sure I'm ready to tackle this design 😬
Thank you!!!! I’ve had this pattern for a while (I jumped on it fast) but then I have such a hard time picking colors haha
I think that’s the hard part 😆
Nice job!
Sooo want to attempt this design but I’m having horrible flashbacks from making the plaid design 😩 but with my love of tedious projects I will attempt this design someday 🤗
I am determined to do this design as soon as I can figure out a substitute for The Devil's Glue. I swear that jar laughs at me when I struggle with it. Coverage is my problem. I end up doing 3 coats sometimes on a plaid. I haven't tried coloring it yet. Maybe I'll try quick coat or waste a lot of fast set. Anyway Jessica, TU for inspiration as always. Gotta ask Linda how to resize in Design Space. I'm gonna use a Steel Magnolia shorty to start. I already bought the template for the big cup. I'm a Silhouette gal with only a Cricut Joy to work with. But I am still determined😉
Thank u!
My son’s girlfriend wants me to make her one of these. I’m so intimidated by it but I’m going to give it a go. Yours is beautiful!
Thank you ☺️ it’s not too bad just take your time!
Thank you .You answer some question that I had
Happy to help!
I did my first one.. and maybe only one. I haven’t even done the strip outlines yet. 😬. Yours is beautiful!
Thank you ☺️
I made the decision that I cannot take on the stress of this cup for a customer unless I have perfected it and I don’t plan on perfecting it 🤣🤣🤣 I bought the template awhile back and plan to attempt one for myself. I’m going to use the Arteza paints as a base to make it easy on myself 🤪
Lol I get it!
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
JFlynn does it again! 🤍🤍🤍
🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful!!!🥰🥰!!! I Have the template file but I am soooo scare to try to do this style cup.
You got this!
Where do you purchase the quick coat? Love the tumbler and the way you explain everything is on my level perfectly!!
thank you! counterculturediy.com/?s=quick+coat&post_type=product&type_aws=true
I have one of these started but I could not come up with a pattern for the colors for the life of me. Whatever pattern I would create, it wouldn’t line up and I would have two rows next to one another being the same pattern and my ocd couldn’t handle that. So I did what you did and randomly laid down colors. I am half way done but again, my ocd can’t handle it. 😭😭😭 Like always, yours is perfect though.
So beautiful! Thank you for your videos! They help out so much.
I can’t find Bliss at Peachy Olive. Do you know if they will be getting any more or do you have another white favorite?
It’s off the site for some reason. But any of the non chunky whites would look great on this!
I love this, but still kinda new and don’t know if I even want to attempt it. It looks like it would take a toll on my patience 🤣
It is a lot but it’s a fun project if you’re able to just take your time on it ☺️
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I purchased a template about a week ago, but just haven’t gotten the nerve to do it just yet.
thanks for the tutorial! I did have one question--does the template account for the thin line of stainless at the top of the tumbler? If not, when and how did you sand through that part? Did you sand the vinyl off? thanks!!
It doesn’t but somehow those vinyl pieces can be placed appropriately to allow for the thin line at the top and you can sand down if needed after a coat of epoxy
Thanks for this tutorial! did you do second coats for all of your glitters or just the white? If so, which order did you go in? I’m having trouble doing second coats on all of them and getting my dark glitters into my lighter ones. For the initial coats I did dark to light, but was thrown a curve ball when I did second coats! Thanks!
I didn't do second coats on my darkest color since it had a base coat and I should have done a second coat on the gold but I didn't. if i had to do it again, i would have second coated that gold first, let it dry, spray sealed it, then second coat on all the white and let that dry and seal again
How thick do you cut your gun metal vinyl strips? They look pretty even with the auto spacing if Design Space. I love your tutorials, your cups are always beautiful works of art!
These were cut at 11.5” x .08” thanks ☺️
You said in the video you cut the vinyl twice. Is that just your preference or is it recommended to do that? I just put a brand new blade in my machine and usually cut everything on the washi tape setting so I don't know if I should cut twice to be safe?
Hello,
I couldn't find the paste to clean the tumblers on the epoxy section. Could you please send me the link where I can buy it? Thank you! Your tutorials are awesome
DIYEpoxy.com or you could just use BonAmi scrub or Bar Keepers Friend
It’s beautiful! I’ll have to think on this (long and hard) before committing to make one LOL. TFS xo Melissa
So. Much. Patience. Maybe someday! 😫🤣
This is beautiful but I would never have the patience for it lol!
Lol I totally understand
Guess who’s awake!!!! 😝
Hey Jessica. what brand quick coat do you use to keep your lines down? and where do you purchase it?
CounterCultureDIY.com
omg a lot of work - but again you made it look easy & channeling tyvm
Thank you
I just love these! And love love love your colors you picked out! The combinations are endless! So question, is there a reason why you waited to lay you vinyl down till after you epoxied your glitter? Instead of just putting your vinyl down right after you glittered, before your first coats of epoxy? If that makes sense lol
I'm not Jessica, but I can say that I've done the same thing. You want a smooth surface before applying your vinyl, otherwise all the texture of the glitter will show through and won't look "clean". It will be bumpy.
@@patriciaguti but wouldn't you be placing the vinyl right over the stainless steel? It should already be smooth right?
@@haleyleal23 I’m confused. Are you talking about the vinyl strips? When making a cup, you always apply any decals (like the strips) over a smooth surface, after you’ve decorated the cup. And usually u will only need 1-2 more coats on top to seal everything.
@@patriciaguti I'm talking about the printed vinyl. I know you need to put vinyl down on a smooth surface but I'm talking about of skipping the step of waiting till after you've covered the glitter portion with epoxy. Because you'd still just be placing the printed vinyl over where the stainless steel is showing, covered with epoxy or not. She's not laying the printed vinyl down on top of any glitter. Sorry I've not making much sense lol 😣 I totally get why you'd want to epoxy before laying down the strips of vinyl though. I'm talking about once you've got all your glitter sections done and you move on to printed vinyl, why would you need to epoxy in between that step? Maybe possible glitter fall out?
@@haleyleal23 I’ve only done glitter only tangram. But I would do what Jessica did because if there are glittered areas surrounding the printed vinyl, I imagine it would be trickier and more time consuming to get crisp clean lines around the glittered areas. Plus once you do the glittered sections and your lines are maybe not as crisp, adding the printed vinyl on those empty sections will give it a more clean look. Just my opinion of course.
Can you tell me why you dry the cup off with the coffee filter?
This is an old video. I just use paper towels and a tack cloth now. I used to do that because I thought it cut down on lint and debris but a lot of coffee filters do leave lint and debris lol 😆 lessons learned over the years
Nice! Where are your brushes from.?
walmart :-)
What kind of brush is the one your applying glue with please
It’s just a cheap brush I got in a pack from Walmart.
Can you use DecoArt too coat as a sealer?
I’m not sure I’ve never used that
Is that an iPad holder you're using for recording? I'm looking for one that I can use straight on and over my artworks. Would you mind passing on the manufacturer and model number?
Congrats on this tumbler. You have more patience than I.
thanks! it's an iphone mount but that same company makes one that holds an ipad too. Here's a link for this exact one amzn.to/2Mp73oc
Why does your template not have lines between the shapes? I got mine from Ellebee too, and it has gaps between the shapes.
I’m not sure 🤔 you’ll probably want to ask them? Mine didn’t have any gaps
Love this design but wow lots of work
Thank you
Is Bliss not released yet?
It’s off the site for a bit.. not sure why
How much should one charge for one of these? Being that it’s SO much work? 😓
lol I'd say at least $80 and up depending on the size
