And they're back! Always a pleasure, even if it's more rare than it once was. We appreciate whatever content we can get as we know you chaps are very busy.
I don't normally get upset when a celebrity dies. But generally gutted to hear Capes has passed. Used to watch the strongman repeats at Christmas and was always in awe at what he could do. To my tiny child brain, it was like a real life superman.
Great to see your faces again guys. Not sure if it’s entirely your bag, but would love to hear your thoughts on any of the recent big horror releases over the last couple of years - outside of the regurgatron of major studio releases, that’s a genre that’s been killing it and i think would still do good traffic for the channel.
I watched the Sarah Connor Chronical TV show during lock down and while it was hampered by it being 2000's TV [low budget, the second series being stretched at 22 episodes] and feeling a bit aimless but it had it's moments and did some new things [like the Cameron Character]. I do wish it had been made in the 'streaming era' as a solid budgeted 10 episode seasons would probably have worked really well.
The concept of John Connor running a successful bouncy castle hire business actually doesn’t sound that far fetched considering a T-800 became a manager of a haberdashery firm.
I sat down for a Val Verde Broadcasting video, and I started to see things I recognise. The show was okay but I'm with Duncan, it's not something I'd want to watch again.
An animated series was the final creative direction for the Terminator franchise. After 5 sequels and a tv series I admire that they ticked the box of the only option left standing. However I like to retcon everything after T2. They should have left the franchise alone. The elongation of the franchise was comical! Terminator 1 will always be the best. Love the review!
Thanks lads, I lost the Netflix in the divorce I’m dealing with so never made it past the first episode but I never felt compelled to bother. While I liked Prey and Romulus I largely agree I don’t care about every nugget they keep trying to mine from these franchises from the 80s and such.
I dunno, I still think the future war could be done, if it looked like Kyle's flashback and the T2 opening, instead of an infiltrator wishing he was a real boy. Do a miniseries showing the missions leading up to Arnie and Reese being sent back. The Terminator game seems to have done that postwar time period pretty well. Of course, it could only be done with the proper attention and care, so that will never happen today.
I know 'Salvation' is quite popular online now but it's never worked for me and doesn't line up with the 'future war' flashbacks in T1+2 at all. I believe there was talk of doing a future war series after 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' but it didn't come to anything [and given the 'future war's stuff in that show looked very cheap maybe it's best it didn't happen at that point].
Sequel to the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise lets that success go to his head. He becomes arrogant, aloof, a selfish scumbag who's going to dine out on that single lucky success. Meanwhile, the hare has become a laughing stock, but it teaches him some humility and allows him to grow to be a better person. The turtle finds success in reality TV but his arrogance and greed have reached absurd levels and he starts getting ideas above his station. He runs for political office. The hare is living his life with a new partner and obviously notices that the turtle is campaigning based on hate. He decides that enough is enough and he must do something...he too enters the race to become President. Is this another race that the hare can't win? Will the turtle take shortcuts and cheapshots to try to win again?? Find out in the taut political thriller Tortoise vs Hare II: The Reckoning.
I watched it all the way through, and I honestly couldn't care less. I rather watch Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Malibu Comics published some comics, Terminator 2: Cybernetic Dawn and Terminator 2: Nuclear Twilight. That's what the third film should've been. An animated mini-series adapting those would've been better.
@@Christian39521 The novel Terminator: Infiltrator had Connor coming into what she thought was a T800 in Mexico only for him to be special forces and the human model for the T800 design. The Terminator was a bio-engineered female. I think it would have made a great part 3.
I played Terminator Resistance and now the series story is belatedly finally done for me, a sendoff they were lucky to get. Just kind of over it. I loved it once. I remember finishing the 00's Battlestar Galactica years ago and it buried Terminator in terms of layers, emotion, grit, heart, a meditation on how people can change and not change, philosophy and finality. It gets better the more you grow as a person too, just beyond wonderful.
All they really have to do for a solid mini series given they get the right people behind it, is do an animated adaptation of the T2 Comic series "Nuclear Twilight" which uses Cameron's original opening preceeded by showing how the Resistance captured the T-800 in order for Danny Dyson to reprogram what would ultimately become Uncle Bob. Its hardly original and probably would get earmarked as fan service, but frankly, after the string of garbage they've served up, the fans could use servicing. Wait.. that doesn't sound right..
I really struggled to stay awake watching T zero by the time it almost becomes intresting it ends The highlight for me was when the terminator got confused when the litle girl switched off the escalator its stood on an escalator she turns it off and the terminator was all confused and stalled by this action lol its the dumbest terminator iv ever soon on screen. I think what they should have done with the anime format was do somthing like the animatrix and make it a bunch of shorts in a difrent art style set around the terminator universe But what we got was this sleepy middle of the road nonsense

Two videos? In Thirty Days?!
One video per week! It almost feels like the live stream days.
Yes we know. It's honestly been virtually impossible to get us together at the same time. But we're trying our best.

Yes, but they care about moneeeeey. Bigger hit count means more of it. Hence the 80s films and stuff

Have you guys seen Michael Biehn has a podcast called "Just Foolin around" hes interviewed some actors its honestly really interesting
Funnily enough, I just caught an excerpt from it yesterday.
Pleeeeeease do Batman and Robin! I want to hear you guys tear that film apart 😂😂😂
I’m still waiting on the commentary so they can finish the Michael Gough/Pat Hingle Quadrilogy*

Do we need to do that one? I'm so behind on what we've done commentaries on. Sorry. All in good time - DC

Tortoise and the Hare 2: Slow Revenge.
2Toise and The Hare: The Reckoning
It was good-ish. I watched it and forgot about it.
I haven’t watched this new Terminator series yet. I might not bother, I can’t be arsed anymore.
Honestly, coming from die hard Terminator fans: the whole thing needs to be put to bed.

I thought it was crap, like someone had just inserted Terminator into their own robot apocalypse story to gain viewers.
Given how much 'franchises' rule now I wouldn't be surprised.
