Well, this might be a late reply man, but if u can turn the pattern in the proper way, u can actually skip this spider battle. As fas as i know, as long as you change the pattern in the "Gear of Madness" room, you can skip the spider battle and head to the end of this mission.

What does TAS mean?

Generally it means "Tool-Assisted-Speedrun (or Superplay), but in the series "Tool-Assisted-Stylish!".
If you use "Tool",you can save at your favorite position, play a game by frame advance, and save and play your successful play.
This video is made in that way.
