- This power electronics video discusses the isolated power converters and the inductance in power electronics systems. It also derive the inductance for a magnetic core with air gap and compare it with a counterpart without an air gap. At the end we are trying to answer the question: Does air gap really matter? The video also shed the light on some specifications of magnetic cores. The numbers are taken from "Transformers and Inductors for Power Electronics, by W.H. Hurley and W. G. Wolfle"
