This looks great, and I should also add, an excellent video! I loved the thoughtfulness that you put into every step along the way to end with a perfect result.
Your one of the nicest dudes out there but doesn’t matter ry somebody’s always gonna bitch about something . Ppl love being mad these days. Keep on keepin on. Good stuff.
followed your process and smoked 2 delicious chuck roasts this past Saturday. Also made a pork butt. Both were delicious. Loved how easy the chuck roasts were to make - and super juicy. Picked up the hickory smoke very well. No sauce needed.
Even though it would not be exactly the same , what if I can´t find that sugar, what other would work best. Btw keep up the amazing videos of some amazing food!!!!!! I have copied more than enough of your recipes and never disappointed my guest, thank you again!!! Saludos de Tijuana, Mexico.
Found some beautiful boneless beef short ribs yesterday going to try your rub on them. Also that out of box slaw looks delicious, making that also. Going to eat good tomorrow
I'd like to know how import the 'finish-off' portion of this cook in the oven is. This recipe looks amazing . . . think I'm going to try it for my Fathers birthday.
Ok...just circling back on this. I followed this recipe to the T earlier today for my Dads birthday. I used 2 larger sized Chuck roasts that were 3 lbs each. Everything came out INCREDIBLE !!!! . . . I was a a little reluctant on the 'slaw' portion, as it seemed a little 'too' easy . . . but it was WONDERFUL !!! . . . so simple, yet perfect! I served 42 small sliders on Kings Hawaii'n rolls and there was ZERO leftovers ! Thank You for sharing such a great recipe ! I HIGHLY recommend it !!!!
Hi mate i have purchased a SnS kettle and just wondering if you know if any of the weber cover fit it as after shipping and conversion rates the SnS cover is $180 NZD for me.

One of my favorite BBQ go-to’s is pulled/chopped beef. Chuck roast doesn’t get enough love in the BBQ world.
Awesome, simple and economical choice of beef. Thank you Ry!
We just finished eating the sliders. Followed the video to a T. FANTASTIC! Cooking up what you post adds a great variety to our dinners. Thank-you Ry.

Good strategy…more slaw for the guests means more meat for the cook👍
Ry’s Devine Smokey mountain rub. What do you think?
Not bad!
Hi mate i have purchased a SnS kettle and just wondering if you know if any of the weber cover fit it as after shipping and conversion rates the SnS cover is $180 NZD for me.
I’m not sure. I have a non Weber cover on mine. It just needs to fit over the folded table.
Where did you get the gloves you use to tear it apart I have sum that are heat resistant but not very flexable.?
I wear glove liners underneath the nitrile gloves when handling hot food such as this. You can usually find them on Amazon.
Do you unwrap them from the foil before you put them in the oven to rest?
Sweet & smokey garlic rub 🙂 (edit - I wrote that before you named it haha)
Hi, did you remove the roast from the foil before placing them into the oven @ 180 degrees? Did you cover them while they were in the oven?
No, still wrapped in foil and placed in a foil pan covered tightly with foil. That's a lot of foil LOL :)
I say "Smoking Sweet Ry Rub"
RY-dust. That's what I'm calling it.
How about Ry's reserve #1 or Ry's sweet and smokey reserve. I think your name should be on label though.
Those ingredients, exept for maybe the sugar, are as common as dirt in Texas barbeque...
Proper!
Where can I find this apron?
Unfortunately the company that made it doesn't appear to be around anymore.
yummmm
Rub name: SPGPS
I've got 99 problems but a binder ain't one
