Just got back from a week there with my wife, we’re both English, had a great time in and around this area and found the German people very friendly and welcoming ❤
Although this resort is primarily visited by tourists from German-speaking countries, there are also some visitors from the UK. And there is never any kind of hostile atmosphere against people from other countries.
Very interesting video Alex. I'm glad it's not smell o vision. At least there is no one throwing up this time. I think I'll stick to Puerto Pollensa. Best wishes, John
I‘m from Germany and I am there right now. Thought it would be a little bit quieter, but it‘s still like in summer. The „Schinkenstrasse“ („Bacon Street“ because of „San Siro“) with „Bierkönig“ and „Bamboleo“ is crowded with people like in main season.
That's so sad to see....I can see why the lovely people of Majorca protest...I came back from Palma nova last week...it was so nice and nothing like this video...I suppose rough people have to go somewhere, I'll make mental notes for my next trip, stay clear lol keep making the videos xx keep safe
Hi Alex, horrendous place, I'll take cala millor every time but thankyou so much for your brave content, much appreciated. Looking forward to visiting next week. Fingers crossed for the weather!
What a dump. I found Palma swarming with the street sellers around the cathedral too. I'll stick with Cala D'or I think. Much better and laid back atmosphere
I felt intimidated by just watching this video Alex. Definitely a police no go zone as many places are these days unfortunately. I stayed at el arenal for a week in the 90s. Wasn't as bad as it is now but still a week too long. At least I know where to find you on the last weekend of the season. Lol. 💃💃🌭🍔🍺
I am so glad Magaluf is going the Family holiday way. We were on the Bali beds on Son matias beach last week with my 4 year old, and our other family with their young kids, a bunch of lads(unfortunaly british) walking along, clearly a stag or lads holiday, drinking, carrying a very loud music box, shouting and swearing A LOT, thinking they are cool. Was just unacceptable, this was 10 in the morning. I felt so ashamed to be british.
Presumably the season end also coincides with the end of Oktoberfest? El Arenal is pretty grim - it's much better at the other end of the Playa in Can Pastilla in my experience.
Just got back from a lads (all over 40!) holiday to Cala D'Or...had a brilliant time ...zero hassle or stress in Cala D'Or....Lola's and Sparkles have good DJ's and great atmospheres for a slightly more mature group.
12:10 my grandparents were on Mallorca last week and they said that it was full and they didn't expect that in september. As a result, they couldn't even rent a car. I don't drink beer by the way because of my gluten sensitivity...
I am going to Mallorca on Monday. I think to book my hotel in Magaluf. Do you recommend Magaluf in October? Or if you can recommend another place to stay? I will be there just for chilling and enjoy the weather. It would be nice to have parties close to me.
It's just a place that would never appeal to us, we are all different, thank goodness. I can't see how they allow all those hundreds of street sellers.
I’m presently in Porto Colom and went into Palma today.. Palma busy as it was when I was there earlier in the year.. no negatives.. weather still nicer than back in the UK with plenty of bargains to be picked up from travel agent..
I was young once Alex. I can see why locals can't stand this. My sister worked and lived in Mallorca in the 80s. You could still find rabbit and pigs trotters on the menu. Shame it has changed. But I understand the tourist needs.
We stayed in Playa de Palma maybe three or four years ago in April. A few weeks before the madness starts but we were not aware the resort was like this. Hotel was amazing but way to many looky looky men. Put your head away. Overall didn't enjoy the holiday though it was not great weather either so a lot of little things all came together to ruin the week. Would never go back anyhow.

Hi Alex, I spent a month here in Feb and it was very quiet and the local Spanish bars were wonderful. I wouldn't dream of going back in the summer, the whole place is owned by Germans and extremely run down. The immigrants are a nuisance and prostitution is rife.
This place honestly looks a disaster, no wonder the locals protest about holiday makers. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I’d hate the thought of being stuck in this resort.
Hola Alex arenal not the resort I'd want to visit too many street sellers I just don't like the look of the place I took a day trip here from palma and only stayed for an hour I quickly returned to palma a more classy place I'm in alcudia soon😂
Arenal/Playa de Palma is amazing in June. Bars are rammed from mid morning with young Germans on the lash. Magaluf is a Sunday School picnic in comparison.
Interestingly, the Germans are known to be very tidy at home there’s a public bin attached to most lamp posts even, all appears to fall down when on a ballermann booze up. Sad really, but the Brits are no better ( though not tidy at home at all )
What can I say. Arenal really lets Mallorca down. Why aren’t the police moving on the street sellers, and the esplanade is a disgrace, lazy people, what’s their home town like! I certainly won’t be visiting Arenal, I want to visit Mallorca not Germany. Thanks Alex.

Hahahaha Glyn!
It's definitely not a police no go area, did you hear that from someone or just make it up?
I can’t believe how busy it is in this area.
We were in playa de Palma in August and no where near as many people in this area
The island is very busy at the moment!

Ah yes, good point, but then everyday is like Oktoberfest! And Can Pastilla is just so different (thank goodness)
Oktoberfest ends next Sunday, season at the Ballermann ends at the end of Oktober. But the Bierkönig remains open all year long.
You gotta have some dance moves!! LOL🏖️👍😎🆒
Why can't they be respectful for the locals and bin their rubbish. Disgrace.
Fantastic video Alex. But omg for the area
OMG yes ! lol! thanks Tommy!

Definitely warmer than the UK!

I thought it was nice to see people dancing in the street (just not the rubbish though)
Heading there on Tuesday with my wife for a quiet break, didn’t research enough, got the fear now 😢
It‘s not that bad. Depending on the location of your hotel, it may be relatively quiet.

Alcohol ambulance casualties
Don't want to imagine it

Makes Magaluf look very tame
It does!

Look we have all done a bit of this let the kids alone your only young once ❤😊
Not my cup of tea . But good video thanks ❤xx
Thanks
Is it true the Germans don’t spend much in the local economy? They like a cheap holiday?
I think they spend a tonne of money on 🍻
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun No doubt :-)
@@carl90210 dicen que gastan muy bien ! Saludos 🤙
It‘s not cheap at all there.

The German Magaluf
Yep!

That looks worse than Brighton, so different from the rest of majorca really not like the majorca i know, stay safe, 🤡☘☘☘
It is unique!
What a dump
Ballermann is nice 🎉 yeaah

Very true Diane! I think the police are all in Palmanova and Magaluf driving along the backs of the empty beaches!
Is there a migrant problem in Mallorca . 🙄 .
Let’s talk about your Ex
NO! lol! Ex for a reason
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Ha ! No, it’s the title of the tune ! 😄
