For example the white balance looks like a Sony - Better to use RED camera or Arri even Canon C100 would take this show up 5 notches. Music should be more emotional connected to the scene. Old fashioned scores make some scenes boring to watch. 6 to 12 second switches in movement will carry scene tone into the next segment - simulating flow.

If you're a middle-class grad student who has to score really high on the TOEFL and GRE to get in, then teach classes and take in American roommates to survive, things may turn out differently. It's their loss and my gain, though :)
