Cute, Kristina 😊! Climbing rose will be beautiful! I always plant away from house, wall, deck, incase it needs painted. I'm also a Biotone 👑, putting in hole and watering, before setting any plant. It works for me! Happy Gardening 💚🌿
@@pwcolorchoice Thank you kindly! 😊 💚🌿 I do tons of research and have an artistic eye to begin with 😉. The long and short of it... I have what I call 4 separate garden plots around my house and deck area. My main focal point is my garden out back. It's roughly 100 ft wide x 50 ft. deep. It's my "Bird Sanctuary" I've planted out for. I do reap the Benefits! Unwanted birds unfortunately But, I get my fair share of Beautiful Songbirds. Cardinals and Finches!❤️💛! Also, my deck top is planted out for Hummingbirds ever year. I adore and cherish my little beauties. They come up to me, as does a male Cardinal!!!! 🙌
@@ginafriend1690 You having an artistic eye is certainly no surprise 😄 That sounds so amazing!! It's so cute that they trust you and come up to you! They always have such personalities haha 🥰☀
Question! I have a climbing rose on our apartment balcony. Unfortunately the balcony is cement so half of it is covered. The rose is doubled now but no roses. I don’t have a terrace yet but am worried it’s too tall and it won’t really do much. My question is will this kind of terrace work on an apartment balcony? Should I prune it back?
Yes, you could use this trellis on your balcony! As for pruning, we recommend pruning in early spring. Remove weak branches in the middle and about 1/3 of the height and width. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time, just cut back to a set of leaves.

The rose in this video is a climbing/vining type so training it up a trellis is to help it's habit, a rose of Sharon will grow in a more bush-like habit or a columnar one so they don't need to be trained like a climbing plant 😊

It’s 10 months since you posted this video, please tell us how is the plant doing?
Still unsure on what to do
How can I help? Do you have any specific questions about this process?

Where did you find the locking clip to train the shoots? Would I be able to find them at Lowes, or Home depot

Can I pull out a climbing rose plant to reposition it? It's only been there for a year.
Yes, you can - just make sure to keep it watered while it's getting established ☺
Can I do this with a rose of Sharon?

Is this a 1 gallon or a 3 gallon?
This was planted as a one gallon ☺
