- Aulos is instrument of Ancient Greek music.
'Agora-in-A' model is based on the aulos from 'Agora' movie. We just made some useful in music changes in the scale of low pipe.
Very easy in epic minor-mode (aeolian) improvisations.
Two pipes, 46cm long. Bodies made out of Phragmites cane and single reeds made out of Arundo Donax cane.
Scale of each pipe is:
Low pipe: E F G A
High pipe: A B c d e
Hard case is included.

So wierd, never even knew this was a thing. Used to play on my casio with modulation and octaves like this when I was younger.
They’re actually in fourths if that helps
Takes me to a whole other dimension. The world before the world.
Fantastic atmosphere with sound of eternity. Thanks, artist

@@3arbara7 Believe it or not, there are 3D printable versions of the pipes, and tutorials on how to make the reeds yourself! Try searching for Barnaby Brown on UA-cam, and perhaps contact him for more information on makers.

Isn't this called diaulos (Δίαυλος).
@Zig Zag γνωριζετε εαν υπηρχε και οξυαυλος;
All I can say is: Barnaby Brown baby... He circular breaths this instrument for constant sound.

www.inspireuplift.com/shop/ANTPLATmusicalinstruments
I can circular breath.I was wondering why the player is not circular breathing? Are the reeds to easy to move giving no resistance for circular breathing? If you can show me some one that can circular breath on it I will buy one.
The player can circular breath too. But sometimes he prefers pauses in music )
Stefan Hagel has done several shows entirely performed while circular breathing.
We only assume ancient Auletes circular breathed based upon what we observe in that region today and other related instruments like the Sardinia pipes or laudennas. Like the Lyres and Kitharas there is no doubt that an Aulete could and would use both types of playing depending on what the tune required.
it sounds almost like the zampogna.
Matt Saitta and it is very good!😃

Some albanians love to think that they influenced europe don't they?
Illyrian tribes were isolated. They couldn't influence other peoples. They never went outside their homelands, unlike the ancient greeks, who even had colonies at some point in history, not to mention an empire (I don't include the byzantine one because it was a multicultural empire and based of religion rather than a culture). If illyrians ever played the aulos, then it's because they got it from their ancient greek neighbours. Fortunately or unfortunately, illyrians were mostly influenced from other cultures rather than influencing other cultures. Of course, illyrians had their own unique culture as well, but they never spread it elsewhere.
Albanian culture still possesses elements from other cultures. Fustanella, which tosk albanians wear as well, isn't originally albanian for example, regardless what some albanians claim. That costume is also weared by vlachs, greeks and slavs. Its origins take place in italy, as it is believed, with some turkish elements as well. It's also believed that the costume was taken from the ancient greeks.
And about the language. Albanian also possesses some foreign words. Latin, Greek, anglo-french, italian and turkish. Just because the word "shirg" is the same as Sergius doesn't mean that latin was influenced from that language . In fact, the albanian word for shirg is of latin origin.
Stop being misinformed.
The purpose of the ancient aulos is not merely that it’s an instrument for music but it’s ancient knowledge of vibrations that have physical effects on your body and is medical and healing.
It seems to be a instrument where it looks difficult to play but is fairly simple once you have it practiced a bit
pa nije nešto
Just amazing !! Note the vessels in the distance. There is no curvature. Earth is level !!
Don't bring your bs here
From the ground the curvature is not visible. You have to go _very high up_ to see it.
