I totally enjoy the deep dives. It's kinda like a debrief. No one else on UA-cam is doing that. It also gives us the opportunity to ask questions after watching the video. Great job my friend.

Thank you! That's super useful feedback. I also teach idc and Tec courses and sometimes it's a real scramble to record these. If I do it too early, I can't reply to all the comments but if I shoot it too late it becomes irrelevant so it's a bit stressful 🤣 but if you guys enjoy them, than that's a good reason to keep doing it!

Thank you! They're tricky because they need to be recorded on very specific moments and often it doesn't work out. But I'll do my best!

Thanks for sharing. The Um El Faroud is an awesome wreck to dive. One of the best I ever did. I wonder if you have any footage from getting in. I really would love to see how and where esactly you get in with this waves.

Unfortunately I don't. I always only film when I can spare the attention to do so and unfortunately my entry required 100% focus. Essentially I geared up with everything (doubles, deco cylinder) and strides in about 4ft from the ladder. I dislike entering like that with my camera but I lifted it above my head, using my other hand to prevent the deco cylinder from hitting me in the face upon impact. Make sure to do a scissor kick as you land. Then immediately descend and do the checks. That's basically in a nutshell how I entered.

Great debrief! It will be very helpful for others planning to visit El Faroud ;). I would like to add that this dive is also suitable for advanced recreational divers who do not intend to enter the wreck but would recommend to use EAN30. And if you're up for it, diving at night can be a fantastic (yet eerie) experience, as you can find an abundance of marine life such as moray eels, octopus, cuttlefish and rays in the valley next to the exit, making decompression more intriguing. It can be a little spooky, but definitely worth it!

Oh what an awesome tip! I hadn't even considered it as a night dive!
