I listen to this song in the car during late night drives. I feel like guy and cody are driving with me and we're out to kick some ass, 80's action style.
I used to sleep to this music in the early 90's...Aplin gets a bad rap but Final Fight & Double Dragon II captured the spirit of the coin-ops in a way that I remain grateful for.
I can't agree with you on Final Fight capturing the spirit of the arcade machine. It felt too much like a half finished game and there was far too much left out. However, I wholeheartedly agree with you on Double Dragon II. Even with the missing moves it was one of the best ports ever made, and certainly one of the best beat 'em ups on the Amiga.
Thank you PeyserCommodore for the track. This pretty much compiles everything essential as being a youngster at time. Hearing it now... still sounds so awesome as hell:) Thx!!
Primarily the snes version. Crapcom was NEVER able to utlize the full ptoential of its sound chip, so most snes capcom games had farty audio, and FF was none the more different when it launched on snes
@@xenialxerus934 Dont get me wrong, I still played it 2 or 3 times till completion. Once I discovered the snes and mega CD versions I realised how crap it was although it probably came out too early. Maybe a 1meg Amiga version would've been better?
@@845H1R Considering it was made by one guy in six months it wasn't a bad game in its own right, although it wasn't a good conversion. Still far from the worst though.
out of all the Amiga tunes I've heard this is the one I'm often puzzled by. I quite like some moments to it but in all my times listening to it, I come away thinking it's an ok piece but certainly not remarkable. This particular music gets elevated to genius level by some folk meaning it's beyond even a hyper level of music composition like some right belters Hybris, Utopia or most of Chris Huelsbeck work etc on Amiga. Those are all on a different page to this. There's some absolutely stunning music for Amiga and not all of that even quite reaches a genius level Of course I get people liking it but objectively it's not an especially great piece comparatively. That's shouldn't matter of course if people enjoy it but I think what people may enjoy more about it is it's atmosphere rather than being a great piece of music. I'd certainly like to know why people think it's so incredibly good. Maybe people can point this out I certainly don't wish to shit on the effort that it took to write but it's just a curious thing because it's the only piece I see universally applauded so much and I'm not sure why
Yes this was the only piece of music, and it wasn't eve written for the game. The programmer took it from the demo scene just to have something musical.
I don't agree. The problem wasn't the system, it was how the gameplay was programmed. If the attack combinations of the characters had been kept in then the game would have been far more playable. That's just an animation code which could be done without any loss of power, because sometimes there are six enemies on screen at once when there's no need for that as it saps the CPU power and RAM which could have been used to have more moves for the players.

What about Haggar?
@@Terbie36 he is Haggar!
Still rocking this in 2024
The track is called "Lost in Time" just in case anyone is interested. It was also used in an old Amiga demo.
Khayde that was usually the case..another example is the intro to double Dragon 3 for the Amiga
Zontar82, and Double Dragon II.
By whom?
@@bustingatdaseems Jolyon Myers. Also went by 'The Judge,' and professionally as 'JVM Design.'
@@Khayde Good buddy of mine growing up. Was there when he wrote this and the theme for Mig-29, as well as many other tunes and GFX.

Another TRULY BADASS Amiga THEME...
And KICK ASS.
*****
Hell yeah!
This track is just amazing. Might be my favourite old school video game music of all time
one of the best music on our beloved amiga
Excellent recording!
Simply the best version of the Final Fight theme....
This isn't the Final Fight theme. It's a completely original track which was taken from the Demo scene.
@@nebularain3338 don't care. I remember this from the final first game I played and therefore it's the theme.
@@ayara8157 You're kinda stupid though
For many years now we’ve had access to multiple arcade perfect ports of final fight but this for me will always be the music to final fight
I owned an Amiga and had lots of games and i believe this is one of the, if not the best, game music ever!!!

love amiga! Retrooo!
i have this game to my amiga A500. just LOVE the music track and the game! :)
even if this game it was'nt a good porting, the amiga theme music rocks over all the other conversions... best audio ever amiga
Marco Bernardini it was still better than any other versions around..the graphic was there and you could play two players

This is Fucking Quality!
how ironic that the amiga version of Final Fight was one of the worst EVER but the Amiga theme tune kicks ANY Final Fight versions ass big time!
Behave! It was nowhere near the worst. The C64, ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, and Amstrad CPC versions were all far worse than the Amiga version.
@@nebularain3338 dude, it still plays like dog mess, the snes, mega cd, x6800 and other subsequent conversions were way ahead!

a wonderfull . what a nice music ?
Here from any episode that any European retro tech youtuber (notably Larry Bundy Jr and The Nostalgia Nerd) is talking about final fight or the amiga
sick..sounds like something you'll hear on the original miami vice..
a nnon perfect conversion of the original game, but the MUSIC is G.R.E.A.T.
Outstanding track.
Just listen to the metal version of Fastloaders. My god, what a masterpeace!
Great song!
great game great music
The Amiga Theme a very good one. I would like to have heard it in other versions as well, random maybe.
excellent
lol at the "cracked by" in the title screen
A bit of a misnomer considering the game had no copy protection.
getting a nostalgia
This reminds me Jazz Jackrabbit.
@PerryMason123
yeah, the actual gameplay had no music. It had no throws or combos either!
@destroyhobbits and are guy and cody putting their hands on your leg during these late night drives?
YYAAAAAAHHH EEAAAAHHH OOOOHAHAHAIIIII

Was this the only BGM in this port? I can't find anything else from it.

JUST A GOOD SONG!!!
@Khayde - "Amazing Tunes 2", right?
There's a recent fan-made Final Fight short film on youtube. look for The Broken Gear (final fight).
This version is slightly faster. Still a wicked tune
I'm looking for the slower one myself
The port is as good as one can hope for. Multiple big bobs on screen are just not Amiga friendly.

This doesn't sound like music from 'Final Fight' the game... sounds more like the 'Final Fight' movie!
what the shit this tune is super long. Pretty cool
How would this sound like in the CPS1 style?
Thx to Synsoniq Records for linking to this song in the newsletter :)
Funny, I don't see how this music fits Final Fight AT ALL, but on the flip side, I totally love it for what it is.
Are you kidding? It perfectly encapsulates a vision of grimy streets and revenge-tier combat.
It sounds like it'd be perfect for Final Fight or any 80s styled beat-em-up !
Someone should make a fire remix of this
Good ol Richard “Mad as a Hatter” Aplin. While this port may suck, it’s genuinely impressive in both music and game performance.
what are your discord servers.
@Outlander999 yes the song is much better then the real one right?
@badboysamurai I couldnt have said it any better myself.Peace...
@toranamunter No, my heart will always belong to Mayor Haggar.
Accompanied by 1980s mirage-era Casey Jones I'd think.
F...! Is that shit cool!
This is nice, but why? The original Final Fight theme is great.
There's this remix as well: ua-cam.com/video/dQD2F4bRhvM/v-deo.html
