Welcome & Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 BMTH and BABYMETAL performed REAL (The two bands on stage together) "Kingslayer" 4 times in Japan last year. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍 and I forgot to breathe during the performance.
BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 68-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover) We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Subscribed. Awesome colab. Perhaps the best ever between 2 bands. Pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!! Love, love Su's vocals here, and I also enjoy the original with her more processed vocals as well. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤

Opinions will vary but if you were to ask me for a performance that defines Babymetal for someone wanting to see what they're about I would point you towards “Monochrome live at PIA arena” first. From there you can wander through their catalogue and have a hard time finding anything that’s bad.

Nice reaction and hope to see you around with more BabyMetal songs.
This was the best 2020 collab between this two great bands and we finally got this collab on the stage together after so much time waiting for it.
BMTH performed at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival, there's a nice proshot version but with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, luckily now we got this amazing clip showing them sharing the same stage at Makuhari Messe during a festival called "NEX_FEST" ending October and starting November last year, and they did it not only once but four times in a row, everyone went bonkers with these, you can also find fancams of each night showing some different interactions at the end between Oli and the girls, SuMetal thanked to BMTH in all of them, that's the only thing i can complain about this clip but it's cool anyway.
BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame.
This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here.
They're friends since 2015 when met each other at Kerrang Awards so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable.
They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘
The drum&bass instrumental intro on this song is called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", but the short animation and dialogue wasn't part of the album track, it's a reference to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, they got another MGS tribute song called "Shadow Moses" and later in 2019 they were part of Death Stranding OST, another Hideo Kojima game.
Also you can find a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this.
Next suggestion to get into BabyMetal world:
    - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997 (2013), Gans Tomas got this clip safe to react under Head Bangya title.
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🤘🔥

Hell yeah dude, them Sheffield boys strikes again 😂.
Babymetal are 13-year veterans of the industry now who started out when they were 12/11. They now have 9+ years of world tours, 60+ songs and 4 albums to their name.
I can’t believe you haven’t checked them out yet! You’ll love them. Lead Su-metal is an insanely talented vocalist and they combine J-Pop and Heavy Metal masterfully to ALWAYS deliver an energetic live performance.
    Suggestions for “similar” songs:
*Megitsune (Official MV):* Babymetal’s early classic, fan favorite, and played the most live (300+ times now). Heavy metalcore.
*Metali (Official Live):* Their newest single, performed at the same NEX_FES as Kingslayer. Fun and energetic festival song featuring legendary Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machines for some extra guitar work.
Look forward to more Babymetal! 🤘🦊

    Wow, cool!
This is madness? No! It's a brain blast! 🤯🤣
How can this be combined? 😳Tender female voices and heavy metal and screaming?! And all these visual effects! And such lyrics! I'm delighted!🤩
Energy like from a volcanic eruption 🌋
Sometimes it seems to me that Japan lives in the 24th century. Or in some other Universe. And it's very very cool! I'm not a fan of it, but I definitely like it a lot🤩
It was cool! This is not just a trip, but a real adventure 🤣💚

    👍 👍
BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno. Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old. All three girls were friends and classmates who attended an idol group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents.
Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result.
In the beginning Amuse showed little interest and the girls had minimal financing. They performed at strip malls and small venues borrowing clothes for shows from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack.
They quickly became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues).
Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia).
If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to HQ pro shot videos of LIVE performances instead of official MV's (the reason is that the vast majority of MV's use studio audio over LIVE footage AND without the awesome Kami Band instrumentals)
They have over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more.
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these HQ Pro Shot videos of LIVE performances for a start.

Yui Mizuno left BabyMetal in 2018 due to health reasons and at their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019 after Yui's departure) has officially become the third member.
Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.
Good luck and hope to see you again.

Lyrics of the song "Eternity"] There is only eternity ahead You will remember this moment forever Will these candles burn out And the eternal cold will come Sweeps the sky White snow The heart will sleep until spring They will become ashes Our dreams of yesterday White snow He's covering his tracks They will become prisoners These endless ice floes A hundred roads to infinity But at the end of which one will there be light? There is only eternity ahead And the white snow is still circling above us Sweeps the sky White snow The heart will sleep until spring They will become ashes Our dreams of yesterday White snow He's covering his tracks They will become prisoners These endless ice floes Sweeps the sky White snow The heart will sleep until spring They will become ashes Our dreams of yesterday White snow He's covering his tracks They will become prisoners These endless ice floes

Good reaction.🤘This song was actually recorded in 2020, we had to wait 3 years before they could finally get together to play it live. This happened around the start of November at the NEX_FEST events BMTH arranged in Japan and where BABYMETAL played their own set. They came back out specially for this song at all 4 events and you could see they and BMTH were all having a great time performing together.
BMTH and BABYMETAL have been friends for a long time since they first met at the Kerrang Awards and the Reading & Leeds festivals in 2015 and had often spoken about wanting to collaborate.
In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and BMTH opened at 4 of their big arena shows.
In 2020 BMTH recorded this song for their EP. BABYMETAL originally sent their contributions entirely in English. Oli asked them to include some Japanese, which of course they did.
If you like the contrast of the clean and clear vocals together with the metal instrumentals BABYMETAL could be just the band for you.
BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before, they brought a fusion of great metal instrumentals coupled with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics to create their very own sub-genre ... and, since they started in 2010, they have continued to develop and evolve from those beginnings.
They don't limit themselves to any one main style or genre and you won't be able to pigeonhole or put them in any one box like you can with virtually every other band in the world, they are one of a kind and they invented their own genre and style that nobody has been able to copy successfully (some have tried, none came close) including bringing choreographed dancing to metal (but not as you might know it from pop acts where it is nearly always used just to fill the stage or give you almost naked girls (and boys) to look at to take your mind off often bland music).
BABYMETAL's choreo helps with interpreting the song - a lyric or the meaning etc, but it is designed to involve and lead the crowd, to give them their cues when to jump, shout, pump their fists, chant and so on. BABYMETAL are complete masters of crowd control and crowd involvement.
They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They first appeared in October 2012 and became the full time support for all live shows from March 2014.
In 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) were introduced and they have been supporting BABYMETAL on their more extended foreign tours since then.
They have nearly 70 songs now, every one of them is different from the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal, often when you least expect it. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between - so if you don't like one song no problem - try another, the chances are you'll love it.
The official videos are all very good, but BABYMETAL are a live performance act and live is where you will always see and hear them at their very best.
How about watching their very first performance in the UK when they were still only 16 and just turned 15. Their first metal festival, first major event outside of Japan and virtually unknown as they were put on the main stage at Sonisphere in 2014 with over 50,000 UK metalheads to try to impress. They had about 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to do it.
The last song of the set was 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Call it IDZ - it means Bullying, No More, For Ever) - and as I said Live at Sonisphere 2014 is the one to watch - and you will hear what the crowd thought as they are walking off stage at the end.

Although BMTH are playing the instruments in this one, the sound is pretty typical of Babymetal's music. They go lighter into a more EDM and electronic and pop sound, but they also go much heavier into death metal, thrash metal, and power metal sounds (but still with the J-pop vocals). This song would be a middle-of-the-road Babymetal song, musically speaking.

From one Shaman fan to another, I think you will like Babymetal! They formed back in 2010, only 11-12 years old at the time and have been making great music and live shows ever since. They are amazing people! I saw them twice last year and it was the perfect experience. They are unique because of their choreographed live performances, no one else does that in the metal genre!

You haven't reacted to BMTH since throne? Wow. You've missed ALOT. Their new music blends alot of his old and new music, blended perfectly. They didn't just bring it for this song. They've gone bk to their old style here and there alot since throne post Human survival horror EP is amazing. And their newer songs for their upcoming album next gen are all great so far..
    AmEN

    Parasite eve
    Obey ft yungblud
    Ludens

    Done some crazy collabs too.
Really should dive bk into them again. Seriously missing out. They've improved their sound so much. I live there is a hell album and Sempiternal. TTS too. But trust me. You won't be disappointed.
I'm not into babymetal other than this song. But too cheesy for me. But I get people's obsession with them. It's different for sure.
