Since i have the original swisstool, i think i will buy the swisstool MX for sure. The one hand opening and the pocket clip is a must. I don't like the spirit scissors. I'm sad they didn't used more mixed serrated blades like on the trailmaster, the spirit XC or the rangergrip
Nothing wrong with having both. The more the merrier! I currently have a Surge and absolutely love it, but I have ordered a Swisstool MX, should be here in a few days. Can't wait! 😊

I really wish they made smaller Swisstool with magnets (like LM Free series). That would had the potential to be the best one for me. Anyway... After a lot of MTs I went back to ol' Spirit for EDC. Disappears in the pocket.
In my opinion, any multitool over $100 in expensive. That being said, I used to think the Victorinox multitools were expensive but after buying the Leatherman Arc I don't think the price of them in new condition is bad, quite reasonable verses $250. I prefer to buy multitools used to get them less expensive but I "fell off the wagon" for the Leatherman Arc.
I prefer the good old normal Swisstool X, the one hand opening only makes it problematic in germany and i am left handed anyway so no use:) quality wise there is no equal i think, have not seen anytthing from leatherman that comes close. (had a Charge tti, wave, wave+, charge, Supertool)

I’d take the swisstool mx. but theyre both fantastic. That being said, I don’t really need the thumb tab. I prefer the regular swisstool and spirit even if I have to use two hands to open the blade. 👍
Did your Swisstools come with the sliders for the handles oiled? Mine came without any oil on the slider from pliers (the “bottom” part when closed, the bit the handles roll on under the plier head.) the manual says they need oil. But mine came without any oil there. How were the ones you got?

Since i have the original swisstool, i think i will buy the swisstool MX for sure. The one hand opening and the pocket clip is a must. I don't like the spirit scissors. I'm sad they didn't used more mixed serrated blades like on the trailmaster, the spirit XC or the rangergrip
But the blade is shorter on MX.

I really wish they made smaller Swisstool with magnets (like LM Free series). That would had the potential to be the best one for me. Anyway... After a lot of MTs I went back to ol' Spirit for EDC. Disappears in the pocket.
Sadly, none. I'd rather 2 hand open a multitool blade then having that piece of metal obstructing the cut.
In my opinion, any multitool over $100 in expensive. That being said, I used to think the Victorinox multitools were expensive but after buying the Leatherman Arc I don't think the price of them in new condition is bad, quite reasonable verses $250. I prefer to buy multitools used to get them less expensive but I "fell off the wagon" for the Leatherman Arc.
I prefer the good old normal Swisstool X, the one hand opening only makes it problematic in germany and i am left handed anyway so no use:) quality wise there is no equal i think, have not seen anytthing from leatherman that comes close. (had a Charge tti, wave, wave+, charge, Supertool)

I’d take the swisstool mx. but theyre both fantastic. That being said, I don’t really need the thumb tab. I prefer the regular swisstool and spirit even if I have to use two hands to open the blade. 👍
I like the idea of a thumb tab. I cut myself badly on my leatherman surge blade because my thumb slipped. My own fault though I know. 😊
must be a pain to clean all that room. with so many stuff in the open :D even with air pressure you would only agitate dust :D

Did your Swisstools come with the sliders for the handles oiled? Mine came without any oil on the slider from pliers (the “bottom” part when closed, the bit the handles roll on under the plier head.) the manual says they need oil. But mine came without any oil there. How were the ones you got?
